Butterfly
The Butterfly Company (Tamasu Company Ltd) was established over 50 years ago by one of table tennis history’s greats, Hikosuke Tamasu. The Butterfly brand is a major player in the table tennis industry if not the number one company today. The “Butterfly” concept was born from the idea that players were flowers and the company was like a butterfly. There to serve the players needs and help them blossom and grow to their fullest potential.
Butterfly's Tenergy is long-time benchmark rubber series that pairs a High Tension topsheet with Spring Sponge. The lineup includes Tenergy 05, Tenergy 19, Tenergy 64, and Tenergy 80, plus softer FX versions and the harder Tenergy 05 Hard for advanced hitters - so you can choose by feel and trajectory, not just speed or spin.
Butterfly’s newer flagship family is Dignics, built on Spring Sponge X, an evolution of Spring Sponge that increases response and resilience for more power and stability. Popular options include Dignics 05, Dignics 80, Dignics 64, and the high-friction Dignics 09C.
And the latest addition is Zyre 03 - a next-gen offensive rubber using a low-profile, high-density pimple structure (pimple code No. 303), a reinforced topsheet compound, and a harder Spring Sponge X to elevate arc, depth, and spin.
Butterfly has been making blades for over 60 years and have engineered the manufacturing process to a fine science.
