With a medium-hard red sponge and slightly tacky but gripp top sheet, it's a decent quality rubber. It is perfect if DHS hard sponges are too hard for you. I use this on my back hand it works nicely for control, block, and spinny loops. You need to let it air for 2 days before putting it on the blade. The sponge softens up after a week there's some liveliness to it. It's dead and tacky right away but given a week or so it's working decently. Good for an affordable rubber sheet if you like a little harder sponge and a balance of tacky while grippy top sheet.
I have bought a 1.9 mm thick pair of this rubbers and used both for forehand and backhand, their price was 12 euro per a piece. The fact, that I am an amateur player, who has not well developed playing technique, could affect my experience with this rubber. By my opinion, this rubber worth just how much it cost, not less and not more. This rubber is for all-round play, and it allows precise smashing, but at the same time it is not enough fast, so the powerful smashing needs special effort. When the rubbers were new, they provided enough spin both for looping and for the serves, but after just 2 months of occasional playing with them, 2 or 3 times weekly, the rubbers lost their tackiness, and the level of the provided spin became low. So, this rubber is not durable. The control of this rubber is pretty good when smashing and blocking, but it is qu!
ite bad for chopping and returning the serves, while the top sheet on it is too hard, despite its sponge is not hard. Another bad point is that this rubber has weak consistency, and before every single use it is hard to anticipate, how it will act, I am not sure what it depends on. As conclusion, I think this rubber is adequate for recreational playing and it is better than the rubbers on pre-assembled rackets, but it is totally inadequate for more serious competitive table tennis.
It reminded me of some tacky chinese rubbers, poor quality and unpredictable...Maybe the sponge makes the difference, I had purple/pink sponge in max and heard that green sponge is better. However, there are much better rubbers for the same price.
I'm using it for my backhand and this rubber is absolutely fantastic. Generates enough spin and is extremely good for generating speed or playing defensively. Definitely recommended.
my set up: Stiga Optimum 7 blade, Joola upp max rubber on both sides. speed rating is medium, not very bouncy, very good grip with a very slight amount of tack. very good amount of spin on serves & top spin rallies, control is also very good. this is a very good All to All+ rubber. i'm glad i got a chance to try this rubber, but i prefer a high speed & spin rubber, i'll replace my daughter's old galaxy moon with this. reasonably priced.
