For a 7 ply wood this blade is on the stiffer and harder side, as a result this has a reputation of being ultimately heavy, mine is the cpen version and it weights 103g and that was the lightest one available at the retailer (had 5 to choose from). And yes it is powerful and with enough feedback retained as I expected it would be, the hardness allowed it to perform speedy and powerful even with softer rubber (rakza 9). At my hands how it played gave me an impression that it is more like a jpen blade and more suited to the style of traditional penhold backhand. Somehow I think this blade fits Yoshida Kaii more than his own blade would. And this might not be the best idea for modern penholder as the exceptionally heavy weight really hinders backhand forehand transition.
