Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon

MA LIN SOFT CARBON has the same outer veneer as the famous EXTRA blade. Its medium soft characteristics is appreciated by players who want increased ball feel.
In SOFT CARBON Yasaka is using a special, very thin Carbon fibre to improve the speed and enlarge the Sweet-spot.
Together with the thicker wooden middle veneer it gives good power.
The combination of the “power part” (carbon+thicker middle veneer) and the softer outer veneer makes Ma Lin SOFT CARBON the perfect choice for power players who need a good ball feel for best performance.

The handle is nicely trimmed, but other than that, it is bad craftsmanship. The "EYES" are on both sides and they protrude out of the handle, which is annoying. Handle is not polished. Blade head has been varnished, so you need strong glue to keep rubbers on it.
You can have good placement with it and produce good spin, dwell is allright, but lacks the feedback on hit to me. Not as crisp as other blades. Still better than Limba/Ayous outer blades, so I guess it is good enough.
Mine was 92grams. It is a lot, compared to YSE which I had - it weighed 86grams.
I would recommend this blade to beginners who want a quality blade which is not that offensive to develop your game. If I were to start again my journey I think I would gravitate towards this blade in the start.
It is also much more up my alley than Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon. That one is more springy and has less feedback on hit.
Price is 2 high IMO. YSE is 2 times cheaper. And if you want cheaper and good wood only blade I would go with Sanwei Fextra 7 over YSE.
?However, my main observation is about the quality of the vibration, especially on high-impact shots. When blocking powerful loops, the feedback can feel quite "dry" and harsh. It gives a sense of lacking firmness, and I found it a bit uncomfortable compared to more premium blades. It feels like the blade transmits all the raw vibration, without the "filtering" effect you get from top-tier inner-carbon blades, which tend to provide a much "cleaner" and more stable feeling on impact.
?So, for me, the MLSC is a good blade for a controlled offensive game that prioritizes touch and linear acceleration. But for players who are very sensitive to feedback, I think the raw vibration on powerful exchanges might feel less refined than what you'd find in the top tier of composite blades.
