Was Initially skeptical on choosing this and Bluefire Jp03. After i tried of my friends. This ones much easier to do blocking. Returning fast spin is also very comfortable. It is soft but powerful. I heard it is discontinued and replaced by V42/R37.
medium weight, medium low launch angle, incredible blockage, average speed, enough control, high spin, easy topspin, more recommended for bh, excellent product
I got this on my backhand. This is good at blocking spinny topspin. Not as grippy as the topsheet of rasant-turbo. The ball dont grip much for me. I can loop with it but only like 50-50 I cant trust this much at looping backspin. I dont recommend this. Just go for acuda-s2 it has better grip but same speed.
Dont like the feeling its soft and feel like a dead rubber. It almost have the speed of turbo but its just the feeling, it feels dead.
I have it on BH max, good control and spin, but because i use rpb the low throw angle makes me struggle a bit, flip a backspin serve is very easy BH topspin very east too
I got it on my bh. I have a pretty bad bh, so I hope the low throw angle will help me. And I was right ! In fact, the throw angle is very low, compared to my evolution fx-p. So the fast play close to the table without any spin is very easy and effective, and directing the ball become natural. And what about topspin ? The toppins on underspin balls are a bit difficult at the beginning, 'cause of the low reject. I have to use my shoulders (more than before). But they are very spinny and hard to block ! But the topspins mid distance-far to the table are easy, you can put all the power you want in your ball, it will always go on the table ! The low TA make blocks so effective !!!
To sum up: very low throw angle, good spin and control, maybe more than evolution fx-p, not insane speed but stillspeed. Good rubber !
Update : Finally my bh has a bit improved (i'm more regular on my loops, topspins and more effective too), and after comparing with my fh rubber (rasant grip) i find the reject medium low-medium. This rubber has really helped me to improve my bh stroke, So sad that now its production is over (hope I'll find a similar rubber, maybe the all new v42)
Durability : have it for 7 months and quality has pratically not decrease, so far the most durable tensor i have possessed ! (after the samba +)
I use this on my backhand on an all+ blade. This rubber has good speed and is amazing at blocking, possibly the best blocking rubber I've used. Looping is really good. It lasts a very long time before it dies and after that it's pretty much useless, however flicking is easy and I can lift backspin really easily in loops. Nice job Andro :)
***I have Powersponge in 1.7mm Black*** Unlike other reviewers, I found the throw angle to be average for most shots, except for blocks. it tends to throw blocks very high. Backspins are thrown somewhat low, topspins throw somewhat high. It has excellent spin potential, and control. Speed potential is acceptable. it doesn't propel balls naturally, and will require some effort to generate point-winning speed. All in all, a solid choice for a spinny, controllable rubber with above acceptable speed.
Absolutely great backhand rubber! I initially got a sheet in 1.9 mm for my girlfriend several months ago...I have since bought 3 more identical sheets. Love it! Great spin, decent speed, and surprisingly easy to manage given its grippy nature.
Great for spin and speed lovers, but little control and minimal consistency.
Very well balanced rubber, without obvious weaknesses. Enough power (especially, for a soft/med-soft rubber), excellent spin and very good control.
I would describe it as Acuda S2 with better spin.
It is excellent in controlled mid-distance looping game. feeling is similar to Evolution FX-P (my favorite there), but has more power and much more consistent in blocking.
The only slight disappointment is the sidespin serve: I feel the spin is average (at least, far inferior to the spin one can create with 05FX).
Superb rubber especially for the backhand!!!! At first, I could never get my backhand shots to be consistent until I found this rubber. The rubber has great spin and speed is good. Also, to let you know I paired this rubber with the Andro Csv all+ blade. Another great rubber from andro!
This is the best rubber that I have used so far, I have tried Tenergy 05 and 80, Joola and LKT. Andro is made by German the quality is excellent. Current I am using Andro PowerSponge for backhand but ordering one for forehand. I just can't find any better rubber than Andro.
Bought it in 1 .9 mm for BH. Previously used M3.
Nothing more can be added to reviews above.
Everythig is confirmed written above.
For me the main point was established by spinitgood: Lower throw angle than M3 which makes my BH play much more consistent on each field. Control above imagination.
Thx Mr Andro .-)
I bought this because of the green sponge. I bought a second one because I love playing with this. I thought it would be like the M3 but the throw angle is much lower (which I like), it is slower but has a LOT more control and it is tackier. Counter tops and serves are a pleasure. Opening loops are good and I can smash no problem. The short game is much easier than with the M3. I am playing with a stiff OFF- blade and use them in max. A great buy and the sponge looks great!
The Perfect rubber for me! Although the sponge is med-soft, it feels very controlled and generates enormous spin+speed when I do a hard smash or topspin (much more than I was expecting)!
Softer balls like flicks or short blocks are really controlled too and feel very cultivated now! I wonder how they managed to combine that issues with a soft sponge - making it really fun to play.
I had an even softer rubber before, but the rasant PS is by far better for playing topspin on a spinny chop, or even against defensive players.
And a countertopsin rally is fun, too, generates much sound and there are always some speed reserves left!
I can really recommend this rubber! It's damned good, making you a topspin superhero
I use this rubber just 2 week before and is realy good, good control and spin, not so very fast but end off fos win the score easy for recive service, shop and block have to take same precaution in the flick because is soft and normaly the flick goin out of the table, for topspin and loopspin is realy good very easy to do and bring up this ball can go down of the table very spinny ruber y recomendated for atack with max presition and control!!!!
