Spin, feeling, consistency, control.

Hexer, one of Andro's most famous rubber series has received an upgrade. Now designed for the plastic ball, this rubber combines 100% natural rubber with a modern sponge. This SFX version features a softer 42.5° sponge with small pores. Powergrip is rubber with a significant boost in power. The strong grip of the top sheet and the softer, fast sponge allow the player to execute attacks with more than enough energy to end the point. This rubber is highly suited for aggressive loopers who are looking for some more softness and control.

Reviews of Andro Hexer PowerGrip SFX (12)

Crispy click sound. It's medium soft according to the description. I bought 4 for the price less than $30, all in red. It's a safe backhand rubber with enough power from distance and sound control in close table. FH I have DHS Hurricane 8-80. It's a good combo as DHS is heavy. It gets along with ALC and ZLC blades. Buy it and save for future before out of stock.

I used the Hexer Powergrip SFX last season 2023/24 after not not playing since the so called Corvid pandemic and considering I just wanted a rubber that was not to unpredictable and good grip to create a good spin and the Hexer PG SFX proved perfect.
After playing with this for a season I thought I would try some different newer type of Hybrid rubbers and tested a lot of club members bats to find one that could generate more spin. Even though some of these rubbers have higher spin ratings here on Revspin I was dissapointed to find that I could not generate as much spin as my Hexer Powergrip sfx.
Joola Tronnix, Tihbar MK, Andro Rasanter R42/R47, Gewo Nexxus all were great rubbers to play with and try but my Adro Hexer Power SFX was just that little bit extra grip and spin.
After a lot of testing I will be using the Hexer powergrip SFX on my backhand again next season due to it being an absolute spin monster, whipping all to submission.
But on my forehand where I'm a heavy hitter I noticed the Rubber was not as durable and had suffered after all that thrashing and that I did prefer some of the other rubbers I have tried due to speed, power and spin combination.
So if your looking for a quick spin beast which is better than it is actually rated on Revspin, then the Andro Hexer Powergrip SFX was revelation to me and my game.
It could be that my technique is suited to this Rubber but I have been so pleased I tried it and can not recommend it enough for fantastic spin and good power combination.

I'm a Cpen player using a YEO7 blade and I'm currently using this rubber on the BH side and this rubber suits me pretty good, since I'm self-teaching my technique is not very developed, still I'm able to make good quality shots, topspin and looping is easy, due to is a medium soft rubber you can perfectly feel the ball and place it wherever you want, blocking is automatic, making flicks it's a little bit difficult because you need to have a good acceleration and feeling, otherwise the rubber may feel lack of power, but in a close-medium distance to the table its a wonder, you can generate tons of spin with fair speed, although is not a fast rubber you still have plenty power to make a killer shot, the transition to defensive to offensive game is not complicated thanks to the control and confidence this rubbers provides.
If you are looking for a rubber with plenty of control and enough power to win the point or a rubber to develop your technique confidently you can't go wrong with this one.
I do not recomend this rubber to play far the table unless you have a pretty good technique or a high-speed blade otherwise it won't generate enough power to complicate your rival and they can easily block or counter you shot

Andro HP SFX is good in blocking, loop and receiving but a bit slower than R47. I glued it on a Hinoki / ZLC fast blade FH, Very user friendly.
