Due to its slightly harder sponge BLOWFISH+ supports the offensive ambitions of the pimple out player efficiently. Based on unusual broad pimples and the medium-size sponge, this type offers an explosiveness that in a jiffy turns every block into an effective shot. Another highlight of this pimple geometry is the extreme stability. It prevents the pips from bending down while the ball is hit thus it enables topspins with good spin. While conventional pimple-out rubbers could only offer these features along with a distinct loss of control the BLOWFISH+ shows strength also in passive playing situations.

Changed from Nittaku Moristo SP to this. The sinking effect is so much more apparent, and speed much faster than the Moristo using the same stroke. Blocks are less forgiving compared to Moristo due to the harder rubber. Spin is comparable. Overall, I will pick this over the Moristo due to its sinking effect if you punch it during topspin play.

I am still learning to play with this rubber. Very good speed and surprised spin.

chris says the blocks are not very deceptive...well I disagree. I'm currently playing with this in 1.8 red and find the blocks to be devestating. Blocking/hitting with this rubber tends to cause a strong sinking ball that most opponents return into the net. The only problem though is that it's not the easiest rubber to control/attack with. I have mixed feelings about these pips. They are fast, deceptive, and easier to play with than medium pips. On the other hand, short pips rubbers like TSP Spectol, Raystorm, and 802-40 are much easier to control. If you can stick with this rubber and learn to play with it it can be very dangerous.
