Wanokiwami - a unique project. Takeshi Wanaka, a Japanese carpenter with the focus on processing noble woods and andro developers worked together hand in hand. Wanaka, a well known greatness in his field with many international awards, brings all his know-how of selection, processing and bonding premium-wood into this project. The andro development team has deliberately left a free hand to Takeshi Wanaka in many respects to allow influences from another wood processing branch. The andro development team has impressively accomplished to guide these influences and ideas into the right direction and the result is a qualitatively outstanding blade line. Promotion players, coaches and test players have confirmed this numerous tests with one voice.
The Wanokiwami AO convinces you right from the moment you take it into your hand for the first time. Carefully grinded corners, an ergonomically adapted thumb pad and 100% evenly thick veneers – that’s pure feeling!
Wanokiwami AO – a wood like none another.

Reviews of Andro Wanokiwami AO OFF (8)
Upgrading from Butterfly Grubba after almost a year playing with it, the build quality feel top notch at the first held. Ergonomic thumb pad is a ++ for me. In addition of comfort, i think it in some way enhanced the overall feel of this blade. Enhanced feel means increased control for me. Back to basic with a pair of Mark V combo, power come in linear way. More power you give, more speed (and spin!!) you'll get. Definitely worth the price for me.
This is definitely overrated and over priced blade. It is much slower than TSP Balsa 4.5. The handle is slippery.
I have tried this blade with Yasaka Rakza 7 soft and Joola Energy Green Power rubbers. It is definitely slow blade.
I'm an intermediate level player. I have achieved results with this blade. I have been able to make more consistent rallies in both attack and defense. Good speed. Excellent control. Works well either near or half distance.
Eight ratings but no review ! Come on, this is table tennis not fake news. I'm sure that this blade is great.
Update: the blade has a soft touch with a crisp feeling. Little vibrations but not unpleasant. It is very controllable fast. I would think that the Wanokiwami is an easy play blade. And crazy spin trajectory is absolutely right. Linear speed. Medium throw. Works good with medium hard to hard rubbers.
One of the best Andro blades.
Love is the word for this Beautiful Blade. Tried 82grams and superb combination of speed and control.
Fabulous! I've had several Andro paddles which I liked better than the few other brands I've had. But this Wanokiwami AO has truly improved my game. I combined it with the Andro Rasant Grip. I've been playing for about six years with a couple of club tournaments and byweekly 2 hr training sessions. So I highly recommend it for the advanced amateur (50+ yr old) as I see myself. It has given me significantly enhanced control with lots of speed.
