Donic BlueStar A2
The Donic BlueStar A2 is an alternative for all pros who find the 52.5° sponge of the BlueStar A1 too hard, or who prefer a slightly softer sponge hardness. The BlueStar A2 is available with sponge hardness of 50°. The technology that makes the small-pored sponge of the BlueStar so special is, of course, also used with this version: Optimised Energy Sponge (OPTE) sets standards in terms of elasticity and shock absorbing level. Development, production and processing of the BlueStar meet the highest requirements, which is why this is the epitome of the rubbers. Now also available with slightly softer sponge hardness, which is ideal for most advanced players that play up to professional level. • Technology: OPTE sponge technology, extremely catapult-strong, dynamic, fine-pored 50° sponge. Rubber Type: Smooth
• Character: Very dynamic, super speed and spin characteristics
• Recommendation: For attacking and offensive players
Speed: 97
Spin: 99
Control: 69
Hardness: Hard

Reviews of Donic BlueStar A2 (3)
Facts: black rubber, 2 mm, 48 g. (157 x 150 mm) Sponge Hardness 50 degree ( - but feels softer!) For my first test, I stuck the rubber (with solvent-based glue) onto my Huieson ZLC (- outer). The DOTZ test turned out to be extremely interesting. With minimal use of the wrist, you can generate an incredible amount of rotation. My first Impressions after playing: the rotation at my serves, is absolutely outstanding and higher than every rubber I played in the past. - however this rubber is a bit sensitive to the incoming rotation. In contrast to the Dig 09c, where I can neutralize the opponent's spin much better! I see the biggest advantage of the A2, that you can return the ball very early above the table and generate enormous rotation with a short arm movement. Because I am curious, I change the blade, now I use the Sanwei 75 ALC Inner. This blade is clearly the better choice. Due to the fact that the A2 has much more catapult (and more speed!) than my Dig. 09c in max. thickness, I don't feel save with it in the short game. - although, all in all he is already very controlled. While with the 09c I can deliberately take the ball very late and still be able to get it to the target, with the A2 I have to go to the ball much earlier in order to be able to play balls with high quality! Conclusion: The A 2 is a very interesting rubber for mid and higher class player, who like playing near the table !!! ... and does not differ significantly from the A1. - I think playing Counter Spins with this, will be fun for many players! Addendum: This rubber was only a little tacky at the beginning. ... after a short time of playing, it was no more tacky and the top rubber no longer looks "so pretty". :-(
Mozliwosci gry krtkiej sa bardzo duze. Znacznie latwiejsza w otwieraniu petli niz dignics. Jedyny minus to gra w drugiej strefie prawdopodobnie przydaloby sie tu wzmocnienie choc nie jest to nie do zrobienia, wymaga po prostu odpowiedniego uderzenia. Wszystkim ambitnym graczom do polecenia.
