Reviews of Tibhar Samsonov Carbon (9)

I've hit with this many times. It's great for blocking and smashing, and surprisingly reasonable for serving and pushing given its speed. That said, I found it too lively overall and not always consistent. Not exactly sure of the point of it (especially with cheaper materials used), but I guess over-the-table blockers and smashers would enjoy it. I gave mine to a friend and he enjoyed playing with it, maybe because he had that Samsonov style. (Incidentally, I had one of the softish Acuda rubbers on it, which was definitely not the right choice. Use harder rubbers on this thing.)

Hitting the ball, the blade gives off a high pitched pinging sound. Weird to hear while playng. It's stiff & good for flat hits/smashes. Loops are fast. Control is lousy. Blocks are not consistent. I put grip wrap & the control improved

This is my 1st purchased blade... I use it about 3 month... D blade gives a high pitch sound when hitting with n without rubber... so fast.. faster then my friends clasic gergely.. Almost as fast as my friends schllager... Hard to make a loop due to its low throw n lack of dwell time... Blocking is good... Have a small sweet spot makes my play inconsistent hit...
Update review: if u like to kill shot, easy smashing , fast blocking , easy pushing, this could be d recommended blade where ull find it a great control for a fast blade coz it's stiff hard low throw blade character ... It's not as fast as schllager.. So it's kinda less forgiving schllager blade type n it's less stiff n hard then gergely 21... U can still do a spin play but not as easy a looping blade ... The stiff hard low throw will help u to do a smashing play without d ball to go out do to its low throw... Even easy to smash with ur back hand....
I use tenergy 80 (black) on fh to add power do its bouncy effect rubber... N i use xiom omega v tour (red) to add control on bh... Don't use a tacky rubber on a non looping blade...
But if u prefer a looping style play... Ull find this blade disappointingly with a bad control...

This blade is fully ayous so it should be cheaper. You should use hard rubbers on it but hard rubbers lose their feel very quickly on it. If you want a blade like this one I would rather recommend buying one with limba outer ply-s. Even Samsonov who is told to have developed it is using a more flexible blade with limba outer plys. Ayous is mainly used for the core of the blade.
