Reviews of Tibhar Stratus Samsonov Carbon (18)

It is excellent offensive, nicely controlable blade. It is quite head heavy. It generates spin quite easily, but not as much as Stratus Power Wood. It is, however, harder and more disciplined than Stratus Power Wood. Being basically an inner carbon variation on Stratus Power Wood, it is less flexible and stiffer. The feeling is more direct, it is more disciplined, which means more control and lesser speed. On the other hand, if hit more heavily, the stroke is quite pervasive and strong. So there is immense power in such a stroke.
As someone wrote here, it has many gears, but not too many. And as was mentioned here too, its downside is relatively smaller sweet spot. Especialy in bh side, after hitting by outer sphere of the blade, one feels immediatelly in the hand that the stroke will be too long due to getting more catapult than normally.
It is en excellent blade for topspin oriented attacking game close to the table and in mid distance too. Flat hitting with the blade is perfect too since the carbon gives it tremendously pervasive power despite the blade is rated as a slower one among inner carbons.

Fast and lacks of control. Difficult find rubbers that suits this blade. Chinese rubbers don't match. Soft rubbers don't match. Perfect for high skilled looping, bad for blocking.

It's a flex innerforce type blade for looping and loop drive. The speed would come out if you hit hard enough through the blade. Or it's like carbon version of YE (Yasaka Extra) almost soft and flex touch. Pushes is not good enough due to its flexibility. You need harder rubber on backhand or you would get too high throw angle.

Great blade. Compared stratus powerwood, the Kevlar carbon version is 3x more expensive, but it can be justified after trying the carbon version, I can tell for definite it's a upgrade from powerwood for sure. Speed is just a touch faster But other aspects such as control ,sweetspot , spin, flex are all better . Best thing it feels less hard and more softer than powerwood. The arc is same as powerwood. Anatomic handle is Great, this blade is looper best friend, or someone who likes to spin, lots of dwell aswell.

This is a great blade.Great control+speed is fast but manageable. Used Rakza 7 BH,FH.Spin I could generate was shocking. The handle design is great, very grippy despite sweating. Handle aids in looping motion-can't tell u why-but the spin I could generate made me happy!!!
