Reviews of Tibhar Felix Lebrun OFF- (1)

Quite an interesting model. I planned to purchase Tibhar stratus power wood, but it was not in the store and they offered me this new model. Very comfortable FL handle, fits nicely in the hand.
My base weighed 89 grams. I played it in two variations: 1. FH Donic BlueFire 2.0mm, BH Donic Acuda S2 2.0mm and 2. FH Xiom Vega Japan 2.0 mm, BH Xiom Vega Europe DF 2.0 mm.
The completely new first option was hard to play, too bouncy, you should hit the sponge for a few gaming sessions to get used to it. The second option was much better, but Europe DF was not a suitable rubber. The weight of option 2 was 180 grams.
The blade is suitable for beginners and advanced players who are moving from 5-ply to 7-ply blades. The blade itself is not very fast, very controlled, allowing you to achieve a good spin. Since it is a wooden base, not super stiff, the throw angle is medium to high. It is ideal for playing close to the table. An important feature is 2 layers of polymer fiber. It's not a stiff fiber like the Xiom Hugo Hal, it doesn't give you any extra kick if you hit it hard. On the contrary, it greatly decrease your strength, making it very difficult to achieve speed using wood alone. With option 1 the speed was great, with option 2 everything was very sluggish, especially with the Vega Europe DF. Since it is a very soft rubber and the base absorbs energy, you will not be able to carry out an attack at all. At the same time, the fiber helps to block strong attacks from the opponent, even with high spin of the ball. With the right selection of rubbers, this is a very interesting blade that allows you to play comfortably up to an intermediate level. At a higher level, your opponent will have no problem returning your mid-speed balls. As an intermediate blade - very good.
