The Donic Xtreme blade is produced with a completely new type of carbon fiber with fantastic features: The so-called STC (Spread Tow Carbon) ensures outstanding stiffness and increased stability - and at the same time a significantly lighter weight.

The new kind of carbon fiber on which this technology is based has already been used with great success in other sports, such as cycling, sailing and skiing. The blade developers at Donic have been inspired by this experience: The Donic Xtreme provides fantastic ball feedback and a unique touch when hitting the ball.

The label "Made in Germany" already indicates first-class quality and thanks to the new carbon fiber, the manufacturing of high-quality blades has reached a new level with the Donic Xtreme. Attack with everything modern technology has to offer!

Reviews of Donic Xtreme (8)

Although I haven't posted any reviews for quite a while, I have been on quite an EJ journey, and now have far too
many blades and rubbers than is sensible, but it's been fun.
This blade is one that deserves mention and review. 83gms flared, Battle 3 (38*),Gewo EL Pro superselect 48.
I bought this at an actual physical store (Rodneys Table Tennis) which had 3 examples to choose from,
77gm,83 gm,89 gm, so quite a variance in weight.I was sorely tempted by the 77gm one (I like light blades)
but purchased the middle weight which is still reasonably light. My blade seems to have a fairly neutral balance,
feels easy to maneuver, total weight 180 gms with grip tape (handle is smallish for my large hands). One of the things
that attracted me about this blade was the double limba layers (my favorite wood ply). Gives the blade a very
supple feel, flexible and not too hard,so that you don't feel the carbon much, but it's there, and aids you when you
start to increase your swing speed.Power delivery is linear/progressive and the blade doesn't feel excessively fast.
Blocking is great- easy to add power or spin, and can take the heat off an incoming powerloop if you so desire.
Feeling in hand is good for a carbon blade with slight vibrations. The hard carbon feel is nullified to a good degree by the limba layers,so you get a direct but soft feel. If I had to compare my blade with others I own,
probably the closest would be my Butterfly inner force ZLC. Same soft flexy springy feeling, but while the ZLC
may have a slightly better higher end,it is "twitchier" than the xtreme and more prone to lose a bit of control,
where as the xtreme is almost as fast but more stable and predictable, and really suits the modern topspin offensive
game.I also think the feeling of the xtreme is superior as well. At the moment,my Xtreme would be in the top 5 of the hundred + blades I own.Highly recommended!

what a blade! In past I used some Nittaku, Btfly Viscaria and Korbel blades, in recent year experimented with Donic Dotec & Dotec carbon (for sure I loved the handle - lenght, thickness).
Based on my Dotec experience is coming only one con - handle thickness on Xtreme - it feels like pencil in hand (most probably it is only my issue due to Dotec thickness) - I'm forced to use Yonex tape (I really recommend) - causing not proper evaluating of blade vibration for me as it is just great..
Control is incredible - pasive plays, blocks or short receives are very easy.. in other hand still enough power for powerful smashes or spins, nice trajectory for under the table spins.. technique needs precision - open racket shots are going off..
also, what surprised me, with Z1 & Z2 both in max+ (total weight 194g) - the gravity center too far in blade head - it feels very uncomfortable for wrist - luckily in my case it was slightly compensated by Yonex tape (which also relieved pressure) - with Dotec blade and same rubbers gravity center was closer to middle (in other hand it was missing power.. maybe because of this)..

can not be more lucky to choose this blade - super power with incredible control.. 10/10

my blade is 78 grams , speed wise it's similar to viscaria , the controll is better than viscaria , it doesn't rebound like alc blades , some times it lack power on smashes , great for counter loops. overall is a great blede , I wish it had a thicker handle.

A gorgeous looking blade with awesome craftsmanship. I put Tibhar Evolution MX-S (Max) on both sides and the blade plays wonderfully. Great speed with nice control. Blocks very well with MX-S. Ball placement comes easy when proper technique is used. I give the blade a 10 because it does what it is supposed to do. Very balanced blade. The blade weighed 91 grams and with MX-S on both sides the total weight is 198 grams (perfect weight for the modern game). With the new 40+ ball I prefer the weight of a blade between 195 - 200 grams plus or minus a few grams. Purchased the blade from Tabletennis11 and received it within 4 days. Fast delivery, great packaging and free shipping what more can you ask for.
