Soft and Powerful stroking while palying mid distance from the table. I believe this is an upgrade from the Green Rasant. But more Control.

Spin and Speed is just perfect (not too fast and sensitive to income spin). Allround+/off players will benefit from this rubber. much like T80.

I have had R42 on my forehand for a couple of months and it has been great. Pushing gets decent spin, topspins are fast and spinny both close to the table and far away and the control is fantastic. Service is pretty good. It's great for flat hitting, redirecting and smashing, the power is as good as any rubber out there. I have one complaint, the throw angle is too high for my liking though and shots often sit up in the air. But all in all, it's a solid rubber for medium to high-level players.

The V42 and R42 are almost similar rubbers and with just a few differences. Both have the same softness even if topsheet is considered together with the sponge. Basically, both rubbers are medium soft. Both are very bouncy and fast and I would put the speed as faster than a Xiom Vega Europe. In a way, the R42 is a notch spinnier than the XVE. This is best suited for the backhand (both V42 and R42). Intermediate players can use for some time to further develop their strokes and skills. Both rubbers are at low to medium height in arc when looping. Best strokes for this rubbers are either smashing or blocking. V42 = 64 grams uncut; R42 = 66grams uncut

Suits me better than R47. Easier to play. Closer version of Rasant grip.
UPDATE: Attached my R42 on fast carbon blade and it's definitively a great rubber. Reminds me of T05.
A must try!

Amazing control,speed manageable,not too fast,and spin in decent like Rakza 7(maybe a tiny bit less).Spin reduces A LITTLE BIT in 4 weeks(playing 4 hr/d).But still a good rubber.

I have used Ternergy 05-FX for 6 months on Butterfly Zhang Jike S-ZLC. Compared with 05-FX as follow:
1/ speed: 05-FX is a bit faster
2/ spin: same good spin
3/ blocking: R42 is much better
4/ loop against heavy spin: 05-FX much better
5/ control in general: R42 slightly better
In fact I am really happy with the Andro Rasanter R42 for my backhand and plan to use it for a while . I prefer Tenerhy 05-FX for my forehand

I put this rubber in 2.0mm on a treiber CI. It has a good speed for a soft rubber, I think it is faster than a rakza 7 soft. This rubber is spinny, not as a tenergy 05fx but more than the rakza7s.
I love to loop against baspin with this rubber,as the soft sponge gets an great dwell time and allows you to go through the sponge . Everything is easy with this blade due to it's control, so everybody can play with this rubber

This rubber is very Versatile. It can do huge spin on the FH side and BH it’s even more amazing. Control is awesome when I tried it on my Sardius Blade. Speed is optimal not too fast and not slow either.

Nice rubber.
Compared with rasant grip
Both wings max on a stratus power carbon.pro: You can easily flip short serves. Top are very easy from close to the table to mid distance. You can aply more spin with r42 than rgrip I dont feel it very sensitive to incoming spin, just like rasant grip. Playing short is not that hard.Con: Blocks have low strajectory I was surprised many of mine go to the net and its harder to put spin on serves than with rasant grip. R42 suits very well with pball. A pleasure to play with. Cant talk about durability, played only 1month with (12hours/w) but still like new.
Good to mention that its very Light!! You dont feel heavyhead even with max songe!

It's a little better than R37, V47 which I tried. If you use hard type of blade, you can boosted rubber.

Good balance of characteristics, and okay for controlled offensive play. Spin and speed are more than enough for most players, although doesn't have the super top end speed of harder sponge alternatives. Sponge is medium, with a hint of springy softness to it. Throw angle between Vega Europe and Vega Pro, with speed similar to Vega Europe. Or, could be considered a rough combination of Rakza 7 and Rakza 7 Soft, if they were combined, but slightly closer to standard R7. Quite 'springy' in new ULTRAMAX thickness, but that's expected for most tensor MAX sponge options. If more control is desired, just go thinner sponge. I'm using MAX on the Nittaku S-5, and it works well. I've noticed the topsheet of these rubbers feels harder than some older Euro tensors like R7S or XVE, either because it actually is a harder topsheet, or the pip structure is wider. Either way I'm not keen on that feeling and would prefer say Evo FX-P, if looking for a soft/medium rubber with medium throw angle.

This is a upgrade for the Rasant from Andro. It is a ridicoulous spin-machine on fh. on backhand was not so good. But i like hard rubbers on bh. Anyway, if you stumble upon it sometimes somewhere, take it and run. This rubber is a keeper.

Ratings for 2.0mm. Arguably the best control in the Rasanter line. Spin or speed not the best, but you can make shots with confidence. If you are a higher level player then R47 may be better.

I can’t say enough good things so far about this rubber. I got it in 2.0 and was getting it for my backhand bc it’s the weaker of my two attacks. Great control for just about all you do. Wished I would have gotten it for both sides. I like the R47 but I’m still working out the kinks. This rubber though gives you better spin on the serve and is a little more forgiving. Highly recommend this rubber... Oh it has enough speed if you have your technique down. Not as much as the 47 though

Someone asked me about the differences about R37 and R42 and if i Had any experience with Butterfly 05fx or Donic blue fire M3 or JP-03 to compare with. Here is my answer:

"My setup is:

FH: R42 max (2.3mm)
BH: R37 max (2.3mm)
Blade: Yasaka Sweeden Extra (5 ply All+)

Control: R37 is more controllable than R42, but both have superb control
Spin: R37 = R42 on spin, not much a difference here.
Speed: R37 isn't the fastest rubber but it has an ok speed, but it's awesome to improve your techniques. I love this rubber. R42 is a bit faster but isn't so fast too.

Both have a greet dwell time, so It's enjoyable to play with. The throw angle of the R42 is higher than the R37, so the ball tends to get over the table more on R42, but hey, as I said, they are both super controllable.

A friend of mine when played with my R37 he got in love and bought one for him. He likes it a lot.

I have no experience on the rubber you said. I had a tenergy 05 before. It's a beast! You can do wonders with it, but its hard to tame. T05 is for advanced players. A lot of spin, really fast, not controllable.

I went from a fast setup in the past for a all+ setup. Why? To get more and more consistent in my game and to get better on my techiniques. It was a wise decision. I don't regret it."

Good for controlled attackers. Very easy open ups, good spin, feel, dwell time, very short serves (if you want), and lightweight. You can play short balls, but when you take more power and speed, you get it too. Not as agressive as Tibhar tensors (for example MXP), it's moderated. If you want and search this style, you get it. You can hold ball on table everytime. Tried on Killerspin CQ, in 2,0mm.

Rubbers that I have used: Razka X, Razka 7S, Battle II, Mendo, Super 999, Desto F1, Andro 37 and Andro 42.
This is the best FH rubber for me. Spin and speed is crazy + very good control and feeling.
A bit spinner and faster than my Razkas, a bit less than Battle II but I love Andro more because of natural rubber scent.
My style: RPH Looping/Attacking Player. Focus on spin and placement.
Updated Review: it lasts very long (6 months already) and still performs well =))))

Big fan of original Rasant. Now that it is discontinued, was looking for replacement. This is not a good replacement as feel with thinner topsheet and softer sponge is unlike feeling of original Rasant. Even more importantly, it lacks the all-round versatility of Rasant. If Rasant plays like an improved Sriver, this rubber has more in common with earlier ESN products.

Mounted Rasanter R42 on the FH side of my Xiom Omega Tour as a replacement for Nittaku Fastarc G-1, which had good speed and spin, but did not give me the dwell time I wanted. R42 did the trick. It's as spinny as the Adidas P7 on my BH side, plenty fast enough, and gave me a bit more time on my stroke. I was anxious to embrace a new "plastic ball" rubber, but the idea of making my paddle too heavy was a deterrent. I was pleased to find that the uncut sheet of R42 in 2.0mm weighed in at 61 grams. In comparison, Fastarc G-1 is 65g, Xiom Omega 5 Europe is 70g, Tibhar El-S is 71g, and Tibhar MX-P is 73g! That meant a weight savings of 3-8 grams mounted! I have rated this rubber's weight as light for this reason. I really need to play this for awhile to see how it holds up, but first time out, I found it easy to play, not requiring any adjustments in my stroke.

Difficult for me to write a review, it has been announced to be as much effective as tenergy 05 and more.

Truth is, the throw angle is higher than the rasant, and the catapult effect is here no need to say.

it's not for the beginner. This rubber put and take a lot of effect , so you have to adapt your way to block.
Same for the lighted start, (banana here). I play it in BH and Ternegy 05 fx if FH. It's a brand new rubber, fresly put on my blade (jonyer-h from 1980, wich has been treated by a well know gentleman) , hinoki so, quite hard under the tender of the rubber (did i say that it is lighter that the rasant ?)

I will update this review the more i get to play with, because i know that Andro put lots of efforts during its campaign to promote this rubber.

(sorry for bad english, not my native language have a good day)
