The rubber was soft and spiny the first time I played with it. The second time I played with it, the rubber got firmer and the spin was still there. The third time I played with it, the rubber had lost most of it's spin. So I bought another rakza 7 soft to see if the first set was from a bad lot. Unfortunately the second set was just as bad as the first. Yasaka robbed me.

Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft
In Rakza 7 Soft the top sheet is the same as for Rakza 7. The sponge is softer which gives the rubber more sound and built-in speed glue effect. With Rakza 7 Soft the control characteristics are improved. After hitting the ball with top spin the curve of the ball is slightly higher, giving little bit bigger margins in the game. In the short return play, the ball feel is better.

I like this rubber alot. It has a soft sponge but is still moderately fast. Good spin and control and is very grippy. Also lightweight. I have to nly good experience with this rubber ( I use for backhand). I hoped it would have a little more spin and speed. But still a great rubber. It compares very favorably to the Rakza 7 IMHO.
Great rubber, very similar to nittaku fastarc s-1 with better spin and higher throw angle, slightly slower, easy to counter spin with nice sinking ball into sheet, cutted around 42 grams, highly recommended.
Spin is very good. Speed is good to very good. Consistency is predictable with better than reasonable control. With the right blade and technique, this is a very good attack paddle.
