Reviews of Victas Triple Double Extra (9)

Moster rubber from Victas. For player that like to trasform the third ball in a point with power shots . if you like to attack on the table and like power top spin with flat trajectories , this sponge is what you are searching for. If you play european style with strong shot on fith ball but you are used with high arc and spinny loaded ball on third shot ... this absolutelly is not the best choise for you (the ball tend to fall down on the third ball and most on the time the third ball is in the center of the table and is not dangerous). This rubber is for ONLY chinese-style players NOT for euro-japan. Is for braveheart player that wants to close the point immideatly after push game without waiting the fifth ball.

today I have glued the sponge after boosting with 4 layer of Haifu II. TDE is still in good condition , I read some review in this forum where the pimple was detaced after applying booster. Is not my case ( boosting require patience if you want not to destroy the rubber). Total time for boosting 7 day , 4 layer every 6 hour , and 4 day waiting the sponge return flat before gluing. No domage at all. The spong is extremelly hard and the weight is very high. This evening I will test the rubber: this rubber is a Wandefull alternative to hurricane >>national<< 3 hardness 41 but with lower throw and higer speed. The main difference from national and commerical for hurricane is quality control test and Victas is well known for consistency. With 4 layer of buster the speed is ludicrous fast , lifting downspin ball is not easy but not impossibile. The price is affordabile even compared with Hurricane 3 national. I will valuate the durability at christmass after some month of play.

I can see why this was Koki Niwa's backhand for a while. It plays quite similar to other hard tacky rubbers. If you're looking for speed, you may want to try other something else, but it makes up for it with control and spin.

Great rubber, med low throw angle and super spinny. It comes pre boosted, so i would not go ballistic with 5 layers of falco or anything. I put just one layer of yellow haifu on mine and really liked it, tackier than my h3 neo provincial. honestly, i wouldnt have bought this, but i was in japan and it was cheap. I wash the dust off with water after every use and put protective rubber on it and its still damn tacky after 5 weeks. Pretty slept on rubber. I'll buy it again.

Great rubber: grip is excellent, looping great. Not as fast nor as spinny as Dignics 09c, but slightly lower launch angle. I replaced Hurricane 8 with this and find the Victas rubber much better for my game. For the money it is hard to beat.
