The table and the robot are fantastic, but the shipping experience was awful. It took two and half weeks to deliver the table. My table was sitting in the local distribution center for almost a week. At first the courier called me to schedule for Friday, and I left work that day and stayed at home for the table, but they did not make it, and nobody contacted me that they canceled the appointment. I called the courier to schedule another delivery on the next Monday, but you guess what, they did not make it on that day either, and still no one told me. Finally on Tuesday, they delivered the table to my house before I cancelling the order. I was so mad about this. I would give the table and robot 5-star, but the shipping -1 star.
Megaspin reply: We apologize for the delay in the shipment. We will contact you to compensate you for the inconvenience caused.
This table is awesome. I'm a casual ping pong player in that I'm only playing every so often, but when I do, I want the table to perform well. The main things I was looking for was high quality, reasonable price, and simple installation. This easily checked off all those boxes. Setup took 25 min. It looks great and performs well. If I had some more free cash laying around, I would have sprung for the Joola 2500 just because why not. But nothing about this 1800 model makes me feel like Im missing out on an excellent ping pong experience. Would highly recommend.
Our family is very satisfied with our purchase. This is an awesome table. It was incredibly easy to assemble and is very sturdy and holds up well to play by numerous people at different levels of play. Delivery also went well - it arrived as scheduled and in excellent condition.
Table arrived within 2 days of ordering and came in perfect condition. I had the driver assemble which took him about 30 minutes. Aesthetically, it is a beautiful table. Very easy to fold and store and has a great playing surface. Was not sure what to expect ordering a table online, but very glad we went with this table. In reviewing Megaspin, very pleased with their price, communication and delivery time.
The table was delivered in a well protected package on a pallet. The setup was very easy. You need two people because of the weight. Very impressed with the fit and finish. Game play is excellent. This old man still has the ability to beat his teenage sons. Very happy with this purchase.
Years ago I heard about my friend's struggle put his new ping pong table together... it must have taken him hours. I'm sure this put me off from getting my own table. Having played at friends' houses, my kids insisted that they get their own.
When I found this high quality table at 40% off the original price, I purchased it right away, my skepticism of "easy installation" not withstanding.
The "threshold service" delivered the 200 lbs package just inside the front door. I figured I'd be spending a good half-day putting the table together, but I was wrong.
The table arrived mostly assembled. The only thing I had to do was to attach the legs with the caster wheels on them, to the table, and prop up the table.
The difference in quality, between this table and the ones we'd played on at other places was readily evident. The solid sound coming off the ball bouncing on the table felt good. Do yourself a favor and invest in some decent paddles as well - I bought myself the Killerspin JET Set 4 Premium - will be well worth it.
My entire family enjoys playing ping-pong now... we compete against each other, we rally and get better, we blow off steam and stress, and we have fun with friends who have clearly noticed how "awesome" the table is.
Love the table thus far. Easy setup and all set to play. Only 4.5 since we havent had it too long and not sure what could go wrong.
I highly recommend this table. Assembly was easy. Once we got the 2 table halves and hardware in our basement, we were playing in less than an hour. The table material is thick and the ball bounces well when playing. It arrived packed in a sturdy box and arrived in perfect condition. Just be aware the box with shipping materials weighs over 200 lbs. Since the table went in our basement, we took it down in pieces before assembling. Also the delivery people we very nice and delivered it to a spot in our garage where we could open and move parts to our basement so we did not have to carry the heavy box.
Overall, my experience with the Joola Tour 1800 has been pretty much wonderful. I've been playing for a couple of weeks now and it feels really, really good for the price point.
Assembly was pretty simple; You basically only have to assemble the caster leg pieces, which is really self explanatory. Also, the packaging was very thorough, as there was literally no way there could have been damage done to the table in shipping.
The table stores pretty easily and takes me about 2 minutes to completely set up. The mechanism for storing the table is actually really satisfying, and when I got the table I spent about 10 minutes just lifting the table up and down, feeling that click.
In terms of playing on the table, I have absolutely no complaints. I don't have much experience with table tennis tables, but I could tell the ball was bouncing properly no matter the spin or speed of it.
A silly mistake on my part was that I left my table out for the night without covering it. Rain came down in spades, and in the morning, even though the porch roof had taken most of the water, the table top was moist. After wiping off the top, I noticed that some of the water had soaked into the table, giving it a slight bump in two areas. This did not affect gameplay at all, but it was kind of frustrating for the table to be damaged (even a little) after only a couple days of use. However, this was at no fault of the manufacturer as the table is not rated specifically for outdoor use.
One more thing. This was my first table tennis table, and, prior to buying the table, I had been playing for only about a week. I usually feel some form of "buyer's guilt" when I purchase items. However, I feel absolutely no regret at buying this $500 table. It was an absolute STEAL. I'm really happy with it, and recommend it to any and all beginner/intermediate table tennis players looking for a quality table at a quality price.
The pingpong table and Ipong robots arrived separately.
The pingpong table is extremely well-packed and rather heavy (as expected for an 18-mm thick table). Assembling the table was super-easy and took about 15 minutes. Except for the final few steps, a single person can assemble the table. The table looks really nice and has a good bounce. Easy to fold up. Would definitely recommend to friends.
The Ipong robot plays well and can be assembled in a few minutes.
Table plays great. Assembly truly took only 20 minutes to complete. Also, the net set that comes with the table is excellent.
I'm glad I ordered this bundle (Joola Tour 1800, IPONG Robot V300, IPONG CatchNet, 100-Ball IPONG). I also added the IPONG Telescoping Pickup Net. This bundle is perfect for me and my kids as we're beginners. With the IPONG Telescoping Pickup Net, we can pickup balls from floor pretty quickly and no need to bend down. It was fun picking up balls with this Pickup net.
Joola Tour 1800 table:
I received the table in perfect condition. The packaging is top-notch. The delivery guys left the it in my family room. I unpacked it and carefully slide it by myself one piece at a time (total 2 pieces) to the basement. Took me 30 min to attach the legs, assemble the catch net, etc... and voila. The table itself is very solid. It lookes beautiful. The craftmanship is very detailed. I can't find a single thing to complain. You can't go wrong this table. My friend has Joola INSIDE (15mm). When asked, he recommended me to buy this Tour 1800 because it's 18mm and much better than the INSIDE. I'm glad I listened to him.
IPONG Robot V300:
We loved this robot. If we filled up with 100 balls, sometimes we found ball got jammed. If half filled, then it worked great. We can live with that. I highly recommend beginners like us to get this robot. With the help of the robot, we take turn to practice: One plays, the other goes pick up the balls and re-fill the robot with balls. Holding the remote in one hand and the other hand holds the paddle works great for me. By doing this, I can pause robot if I need to take a short break, adjust the setting on-the-go.
Last night I spent 2 hours playing with my kids. We love it very much. One of the reason, I got into table tennis is getting my kids to spend less time on Ipad and TV. I'm glad to report: It works!
Minor issue with surface damage, which was addressed to my satisfaction. The table is solid, easy to fold, and the ball bounce is excellent. Glad I opted for a table with an 18 mm surface. Highly recommend for ping pong players of all skill levels!
Great table! Packaging was a little beat up on arrival but nothing inside was damaged. Took me and my neighbor a couple minutes to slide each half of the table up four flights of stairs into my apartment room, but it was doable.
Bolts and nuts were a little tight to put on so you MIGHT need 2 channel locks to get them fully tightened.
Table plays great and I have no complaints so far. It is very mobile and easy to move. Table appears very stable during movement and storage.
Table quality seems to be very good, have only used for a few weeks. Good packaging (reinforced cardboard), which was a good thing because the box showed up pretty beat up. However, not one scratch or mark on the table inside. I put this together myself. The table halves had some weight to them, but I'm not the biggest guy and I didn't have a problem. Assembly was easy, attach a few caster legs with a few bolts, plus set up the net. This table is in 2 pieces, each on their own casters. It is super easy to roll around. Table is very sturdy, and I love the blue surface. It's also great for single play.
Megaspin had by far the best price for this and shipping worked out well. I did have to be home to meet the delivery people, but could schedule online. Only negative is I really wanted the advertised bundle with the ball robot, but the robot was out of stock.
Megaspin Edit: Thanks for your comments and we apologize that you could not order the bundle due to the stock issue. We have reached out to you to credit you for the lost savings when you ordered the items separately.
What a great combo!! My neighbor and I went in on a table to be shared with us and other neighbors. We chose the JOOLA Tour 1800 table with the IPONG v300 Robot bundle. We absolutely love both. It’s a very well built solid table and at the same time portable and easy to store when not in use. The net system is also excellent! A great value!
We also love the IPONG V300!! It takes a little while to figure out various setup options, including settings and placement - but this thing really packs a lot of potential - especially for the price! As affordable as this is, anyone interested in practicing and improving their game should really consider owning one. Highly recommend!!!
The first 3 1800's arrived today. First thing I must say is that the packaging is exceptional. The best I've seen. No damage possible.
We're pleased with the tables. We love the Table Top paint color and it's non shinny character. It looks to me like the top coating is the same as on the SC 3000's we have. No glare. I also like the complete welding around the footing. On other tables of other makes the welding is only 50% and over time the legs came get broken.
Weak point is the thin material that the leg locking supports are made of. Too easy to bend them. We're probably build and add stiffeners.
We love the fast, easy to assemble design.
Overall we are more than pleased with the 1800 series. We'll be ordering more soon.
The assembly setup was super easy, which took less than 10 minutes. I really like the table can be split into two separate parts for easy transportation. The caster wheels are locked securely.
The bounce of the table is crisp and superb. The included net is OK, but not great.
I really enjoy setting up and playing my new ping pong table. I bought it a little over a year ago.
( Megaspin.net Order #564409201 ). The table is solid and well-built. I like the ability to move the table around. My children really enjoy playing on it. My biggest issue is the lack of height leveling adjustment. My basement floors are not totally level so I have to use shims to level both ends and side to side. Thank you overall for a good product and good value.
Had the table for about 1 month and used a dozen times or so, no problems to speak of. This Table is very easy to assemble, it took about 15 minutes total time to unpack and attach the support legs (4 each), 2 bolts per leg.
It takes about a minute to unfold and have it ready for play. Excellent build quality. Easy to fold up and store. It would be nice if there were a place to store the paddles underneath but other than that no complaints. Delivered in about a week the guys unloaded and actually set it inside my foyer, no issues, they forgot to call me ahead of time they are supposed to call 1/2 hour and give a notice but they waited on me to get home nonetheless. I believe the shipping box said it weighs about 235 lbs, it is large to handle but that's to be expected so it would be good if you can have them place it close to where your planning on assembling. I have a large living room that was able to slide the two halves out of the box and attach the legs. I moved it out into my garage which is about 2 feet lower than my main floor height. No problems moving the two halves I actually did it myself but would recommend two people if moving up or down a flight of stairs.
