The Blade Used By Dimitrij Ovtcharov

Developed with German star Dimitrij Ovtcharov, this blade features a thicker blade and a slightly larger design than the Innerforce Layer ALC. Among the blades with Innerfiber construction, it has high resilience characteristics and brings power to hit the ball. The initial D and O marks show endless possibilities, and the black-based grip, which combines blue for ALC and gold for victory, embodies elegance and strength.

FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?

Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.

FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?

All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.

Reviews of Butterfly Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC (20)

I've been playing with Ovcharov's the blade since it hit the market. I chose it after research and the need I had for my playstyle. Before that I played with Timo Boll ZLC. My blades on both sides were Tibhar evolution MX-P max. Excellent combination on both blades. I did not like the vibration when driving with the ZLC, and the Ovcharov blade with its thicker structure completely eliminated this drawback for me. After over two and a half years of playing with the Ovcharov blade I can say that it is an extremely well balanced blade with a very good feel and great power and speed. After seven years of playing with Tibhar evolution MX-P max rubbers, I combined the blade with DHS GoldArc 8 H47.5 max, which give much better spin than the MX-P, and are almost identical in speed and feel. So the combination of this great blade with these DHS rubbers is perfect for me. I wouldn't trade this blade for any other! You can't go wrong if you try it, it's worth it for sure.

Butterfly Dimitrij Ovtcharov
FH : Dignics 09C
BH : Dignics 05, later change to Donic Bluestorm Z2

This is the blade that makes me seriously consider using innerforce fiber in all my future games. You can expect the speed from carbon blade, with good control because the inner fiber placement.

Been using it for 1 year, overall very well balance blade. Looping create heavily spin, and flat shot is where this blade truly shine. You can even give a flat shot in heavily underspin ball (probably because of its weight). Dwell time is better than TB ALC. For rubbers its advisable to use medium thickness rubber (my game is better when changing to Donic), otherwise the feeling of grasping the ball is lacking. For blocking, you need good technique otherwise the ball will go over the table.

For the drawbacks, is the weight and handle size. Paired with Dignics on both sides, its too heavy for my liking (around 195 grams). And the handle size also an issue for me, somehow its kinda hard to maneuver quick change from FH to BH, become a problem in quick / short games.

Overall very nice quality blade and design, rate 9/10
