Playable In All Game Situations

The Butterfly Boll Mezzoforte is the newest in the Timo Boll line, offering excellent feel and a lots of dwell time. Due to its versatility, the Mezzoforte would pair well with a variety of different types of rubber depending on playing style.

Players interested in using High Tension rubber while maintaining a light paddle overall should consider either Roundell Soft or Bryce High Speed. Roundell Soft has a great feel and is easy to control, while Bryce High Speed is designed for all-out attackers and is the fastest rubber Butterfly produces.

For those looking for a more controlled game, Butterfly Aibiss and Sriver rubbers would be great options.

Players that enjoy confusing others with long pips should consider either Butterfly Feint Long II or Feint Long III. Feint Long II was designed to enhance the effect of long pips-out rubbers, maximizing when the pips are easily bent & deformed by reaching the aspect ratio limits set forth by the ITTF. Feint Long III, designed for the aggressive chopper, features a softer more flexible top sheet combined with a softer sponge.

To increase the grip on this blade, you can add Soft Grip Tape, providing more grip and comfort to the racket handle. Another great choice to extend the longevity of your racket is adding side tape to the blade, protecting the wood in the event it is hit on the table.

FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?

Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.

FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?

All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.

Reviews of Butterfly Boll Mezzoforte (4)

I used to have Yasaka Ma lin Extra off with rakza 7 , now i have mezzoforte with rozena 2.1.
Difference it is Mezzoforte has more control and its slightly faster has more vibration and better for blocking it lacks in loops i noticed it and in backhand loop aswell or flick i dont know might be rubber effect.
Overall good Blade worth the money good vibration control and speed definitly !!! Must say smashing almost 9/10 goes inside.

I used this blade for about 2 years with Donic Acuda S3 (max) on forehand and Spinlord Gipfelsturm (1.8mm, medium pips) on backhand. Speed was perfect for the pips on the backhand, on forehand maybe a faster rubber would be better. Control is nothing to complain about, however I didn't quite like the feeling of the blade. However If you are an all-round player this is a solid choice, and it's not pricy at all.

Excited to try this blade out,

I've been chopping for almost a full year now and this was advertise as for the "aggressive chopper" so I said why not.

I have Victas Double Extra Full FH with Curl P4 1.5 BH

Smaller size head than what I'm normally using (Diode) but wasn't going to make and break the blade.

Touch/Feel 10/10 Amazing feelin.

Speed/attack 7/10 Its not made for fast attack but more control and you definitely can control your shots and chops well.

This is a great blade overall, looping is great, flat drive aren't anything to write home about but its really consistent where you want it.

I highly recommend this blade to anyone that just wants an overall easy to use, It pairs good with fast rubber and lp but sp is great also.

Hello everyone! Since 2010 I used to play Timo boll all + but it was a little bit slow, especially on the BH side. I choose this one and it is just great, there is a lot of control with perfect speed for me. The speed feels like off-, but control is like all+ . This blade gives a quite significant vibration to understand how long the ball stays on the racket and you can play controllable and push hard at the same time.
I chose a set of rubbers with Tibhar Genius 2.0 medium hardness sponge for BH and 5Q sound for FH with soft sponge 2.1.
