"Xu was speaking Chinese. He was not speaking English. A friend was translating for me." That figgers. You still convinced that Mr Xu called for the broadening and lengthening of the table tennis table so the Europeans can fare better than the Asians?

"I appreciate the fact that the long-pimpled treated or untreated rubbers may give some advantage to a defensive player, but does it make the player better as a defensive player?"
"What it seems to do is make the opponent worse due to the high variation of spin received not through skill but through the properties of the rubber." Which rubber has no properties to the detriment of the opponent?

"It all depends if the rubber is treated or not, the point of contact, if the ball touched the upper surface of the pimple, or part of the side of the pimple,"
Why not ban all rubbers and play with hardbats?

"..we should establish standards to follow every now and then to better control the development of our sport." Since we have nothing better to do except eat Hungarian cakes.

:..but please accept that although some players may not be happy with the ITTF's decision, the majority are rejoicing with this decision as is very evident to me." Break out them beers!Hang out the brightest lights. Declare everyday a holiday. Call up Santa Claus. sahara somehow knows the majority are delirious with his act.

Just a few of sharara's nauseating explanations. Nothing in the ITTF website containing sharara comments has he been coherent and giving even one good logical reason to ban fr-lps. The only gripe he has is echoed by unthinking people (or in the words of Carl Prean,'those people who will not learn' referring then to the campaign against another brilliant innovation of the table tennis world, the ANTI rubber), is that the ball hit by this rubber does not have a predictable trajectory. Are the balls in racquet sports required to have a predictable trajectory?
Unless the genius of adham sharara and JRSDallas can convince me so, sharara MUST GO !!!!
Correspondence on this subject closes for me otherwise I may end up like the proverbial dog chasing its tail.
