The Nexxus EL Pro 53 Super Select is the rubber professional players seek. Due to the highly complex production process, these rubbers were only available to the GEWO top sponsored players until now!

Super Select stands for carefully selected processing quality, constant playing features and characteristics, and lasting speed and spin ratings. A special gluing and production method ensures that the Super Select rubbers meet the high demands of professional players like Quadri Aruna (ranked top 15 in the world) and Alvaro Robles, runner-up world champion in men's doubles.

Skilled players who can handle the speed and excellent energy transfer of Nexxus Select Pro will enjoy this new attacking weapon which leaves nothing to be desired.

Attributes:
• High-speed
• Spin-loaded attacking and counterattacking will come easy and almost without effort
• More elastic and more flexible than the 53-degree hardness
• Ideal for close-to-the-table power play relying on quick and explosive arm action.
• For attackers aiming at winning quick points using all modern, offensive stroke techniques.
• Maximum catapult, spin, and ultimate speed.

Vision: The new GEWO Nexxus Super Select rubbers are designed to meet even the highest requirements regarding acceleration and stability. GEWO's goal was to develop a more compact sponge texture making the rubber more dynamic and elastic without increasing its weight.

Rubber Composition:

The Super Select Sponge bottom sheet has more elastic air cells in the medium-pore sponge, providing a flexible and dynamic feel despite the hardness. The sponge is also lightweight.

The sponge topsheet incorporates GEWO's brand-new Super Select Transmission Tec system (SSTT). Thanks to the special rubber mixture, the ball has a longer dwell time. The new surface properties enable easy blocking and counterattacking of spin-loaded topspins with a flat ball trajectory avoiding unforced errors.

Additionally, DGC40+ 2.0 stands for consistent, reliable coupling upon ball contact, and the grippy surface prevents slipping of the ball

Highly Elastic Topsheet provides for great ball contact feedback and a unique feel. The pimple heads in the rubber are arranged at a smaller distance from one another, and they are slightly thicker than other Nexxus EL rubbers. When it comes to generating spin, the DGC40+ 2.0 top sheet unfolds its true strength (highly reliable coupling and maximum spin), as it provides for a slightly larger contact area upon ball contact.

Reviews of GEWO Nexxus EL Pro 53 SuperSelect (3)

Very penatrating top topspin, not sensitive to spin, good for close and mid distance offense, I like it better on forehand

Out of the package, the smell of booster is readily apparent. The topsheet is highly grippy, but no tackiness is apparent.

The first thing you'll notice is that the sponge hardness is not noticeable give how supple the topsheet is. The spin and speed right out of the package are both tremendous. The throw angle is noticeably quite high, and required a bit of adjustment on my part.

Away from the table looping is where this rubber really shines. The power and spin this rubber can create with proper technique is almost unfathomable. I can't say for certain this will give you as much spin as some of the high end hybrids or national team hurricanes, or as much speed as rubbers like Dignics 64, but both are maximized while still maintaining some semblance of control while also not being too difficult for players to use.

Opening loops are where you really get to see this rubber shine. Lifting backspin is pretty trivial with this rubber, and the amount of spin you can generate prevents your opponent from easily countering.

Pushing is quite good, and you're able to generate good spin and I have little trouble keeping the ball on the table, despite pushing being one of the much weaker parts of my game. The same here goes for serving.

The only negative thing I have to say about this rubber is that I've found it more difficult to smash with than a lot of other rubbers I've used recently, missing a number that I would expect to make. This might be in part due to the higher throw angle which I'm less used to, but It's not something I would be concerned with.

Ultimately, this is one of the best rubbers on the market, bar none. When you consider the price, where places like Megaspin and TableTennisStore are selling this for $40 a sheet, which is half the price of similar high-end ultra-hard rubbers like Jekyl and Hyde Z52.5 and Platinum XH, there's no better rubber.

This is my initial review after trying this rubber for 2 sessions of training. I use it on FH on Xiom Hugo Calderano Hyper Axylium (HAL) Blade. The rating i give here is a comparison with my previous rubber which is Nittaku G-1. My initial impression is that this rubber is very comfortable to use in my blade, i feel more relax when looping due to less power required compared to Nittaku G-1. To have better image of what i think of this rubber, please watch my YT videos here ( https://youtu.be/gjrncbYfxLQ )
