As I am an allround player (CPen with Stiga Allround Classic Cybershape as blade) I am quit found of this rubber as it offers a very good value for the price! This review is for the orange sponge version. Please do not confuse this, the top-sheet is available on quit a few sponges and they have a big influence on the way this rubber plays.
On the positive side this rubber has a very good spin generation as one would expect from a tacky rubber. It can lift the ball from the table for around 1 second with this, which makes it medium tacky. The sponge is fine-pored and quit dense, it has the typical orange colour. This gives the rubber many gears and good control, you get what you put in and can play a nice short game. Serves are also very good, which is why I would recommend this rubber for all C-Pen beginners: Short game and serving are two strengths you can explore early on where penhold can shine. With this rubber you can safely place the ball anywhere on the table. Chopping and driving are also nice to play. If you want a game plan look for 3rd ball attacks, force mistakes with your spin generation or change pace by adding chopping to your game.
Topspin is good but only if you manage to get the technique down. With this we also come to the downsides of this rubber: It offers you zero help. With a European/German rubber you would get support as the rubber would help you with your technique. This rubber will not help you. In fact it will force you to play full strokes and a good technique or you will land 9/10 shots into the net. This is the flipside of the great control and the tackiness of this rubber.
Also this rubber lacks speed. You will not be able to generate a lot of speed even if you have a very good stroke and technique. Smashs and flicks with this rubber not very strong.
#tldr: Great value, good control, good spin, speed is lacking and good technique is mandatory.

The 729 Super FX is a great rubber to learn table tennis!!! Price, quality, performance and CONTROL are fantastic! I highly recommend this rubber to a players who are serious about learning table tennis and develop their technique.
This is really slow rubber. I boosted them when ordered, but still they don't match the bounce or tackiness to the Yuki rubbers which I played with in my previous premade Bty401. Also it lost some tackiness in first couple drives.

I find this rubber very slow. Spin and control is good. In my personal opinion you can get better performance for less with e.g. Sanwei T88, but I guess it is a matter of taste. If you want a slow rubber, it might suit you.
