The first one did get me somewhere. I did find out about your system. It works the same as ours with points given for wins. With the greater the win the more points you gain. Our grid for this is different though.
For beating players ranked either higher or lower the point gains are:
higher lower
0-24 12 12
25-49 14 11
50-99 17 9
100-149 21 8
150-199 26 6
200-299 33 5
300-399 45 3
400-499 60 2
500+ 75 1

If you lose they are:

higher lower
0-24 -6 -6
25-49 -5 -8
50-99 -5 -9
100-149 -4 -12
150-199 -3 -15
200-299 -2 -18
300-399 -1 -24
400-499 -0 -30
500+ -0 -39
As you can see the most you can loose is 39 points to a player rated 500 points below you.
If you loose to players above your rating the losses are much less.
