The curling may be typical for some kind of rubbers (e.g. Chinese rubbers such as 729FX). I've had the same problem with Friendship 729 Super FX, Prashida 8338 RITC and recently with my Globe 999. If you let it dry completely and then glue it again it will not curl again. Maybe the curling will stop only after a third round of glueing. (Note: I use speed glue)
