Well, it's ok to change a grip a little bit when you are in transition from FH to BH and visa versa. Some players do this, some don't. By the way all players change their grips just after they served the ball - they serve it almost in penhold grip and they have to change it back to shakehand. All in all it's normal to change your grip a little bit during the play. Now, the raguet handle is the most important piece of equipment that allows you to change grip easily. As you know there are basically three types of handle - straight, flare and anatomic. The rule of thumb is - use straight if you have small hands or you change your grip often during the play, use flared if you have bigger hands and use anatomic if your hands are really big. Well it's all individual of course, but it helps to know this. Regards |
