The following message (subject: Blade recommendation) was posted by Sri, on 1/12/2006 6:04:33 PM:
Hello,
Please suggest me a blade with more dwell time to generate more spin. At the same time I need a fast blade. I need a blade which can generate lot of spin and speed. I play close to the table. From the specifications and suggestions I have selected some blades below. I use Yasaka Mark V rubbers.
In values for each blade are (Speed,Control,thickness,Feal/flexibility,Weight) respectively.
BalsaCarbo X5 (8.2, 8, --, soft, 80)
Kong Linghui Special (8,8, 6.5, soft, 81)
Key shot Light (8.4, 7.9, 6.5, Soft, 85)
Viscaria (8.7, 7.2, 5.8, Soft, 90)
H. S. Cryzer (7.5, 7.7, 6.5, soft, 85)
Petr Korbel (8, 7.6, 6, Medium, 89)
VSG 2000 (9, 8, 6.9, Medium, 90)
Sardius (10,6.5,7.3,Hard,90)

What about Key shot Light, Kong Linghui Special and BalsaCarbo X5 whose specifications are very similar on butterfly website. I am currently using Joiner H An. It is having good spin but not enough power for 40 mm ball. I played with Sardius and Petr Korbel. I am including Sardius as I felt it not that hard and it is giving lot of power. Petr Korbel is having lot of dwell time and spin and power. Do you feel any thing better than Petr Korbel in the above list. I prefer light weight as I swing very fast for the spin and if the racket is heavy that damages my wrist.

Please suggest me a good Blade or top 3 ranking blades out of these.

Awaiting your early reply.

Thanks,
Sri
