Thank you guys for your recommendations - you have a wealth of knowledge about the equipment, which comes handy for a guy like me, who is out of the loop on the latest developments.
I played competitive table tennis in late 70's and early 80's (in Poland), took a "looooong" break (approx 20 years) and started playing again few years ago, but only once/twice a week - for fun and fitness.
Living in the US (Westchester county, 30 miles north of New York City), the biggest challenge for me is to find good place and >2,000 rated practice partners in my area who can match my busy schedule.
And one last question about the blades. Are the carbon and/or aralyte blades so much better than all wood to justify the high cost? Why so many top world players still use all wood blades?
