The OPERA series was developed with Wang Hao, who advised XIOM on contact stability, timing, the transition between strokes, the ball trajectory and the interaction between rubber and blade.

XIOM Opera Pro combines a grippy, slightly sticky topsheet with a hard 50.5° tension sponge. It holds the ball securely, then releases it with strong spin and rapid acceleration.

Active topspin strokes accelerate the ball hard, and the grippy topsheet gives heavy topspin and spinny serves. The short game has good touch, but the firm sponge and the dynamic response need good technique.
