Sauer & Troger Monkey Long Pimple - Crazy and Crazier.

With Monkey, the next generation of long pimples appears. Playful lightness, impressive dominance, and a touch of playfulness meet iconic design.

Pimple Structure:

The pimples of the long pimple rubber Monkey have a high aspect ratio and are pretty far apart. This guarantees the most significant possible space for buckling of the pimple heads. The pip necks are relatively smooth, while the pimple heads are slightly roughened.

Pimple width:

Each pip head is quite broad. Combined with the roughened pip tops, they ensure a significant development of rotation. If you hit the ball well, the opponent will face big problems.

Pip hardness:

When applying light pressure, the pip heads give a medium-hard appearance. However, they give way at a more forceful contact and cause a gentle and soft playing feel. This ensures that the pimple plays in a controlled manner and that rallies are difficult for the opponent to calculate.

Sponge:

The sponge is a new type of dampening sponge that doesn't play too "dead." Definitely worth a try.

With its cushioning sponge, the sponge version is also a natural alternative for players who have played OX before. Even if you haven't done it before: Don't be afraid to hit the balls early and boldly with the "Monkey." You will see the results and be able to do things you may not have done before.

Conclusion:

The coolest of long pip rubbers, Monkey is flexible, versatile, and highly disruptive.

Reviews of Sauer & Troeger Monkey (6)

I love this rubber! I have it on three defensive blades with different forehand rubbers. Very easy to control, and causes lots of problems for my opponents. Im using the OX version which makes attacking a little more difficult but adds to the disruptive effect of this rubber. I play close to the table, and this rubber is perfect for me.

Im using Monkey 0.6 mm long pips, and I find it very versatile and well-balanced while offering great control. Depending on the force and technique applied, it can produce noticeably different speeds and trajectoriessometimes the ball goes straight and sinks, and other times it floats. This rubber also handles attacking techniqueslike flickingremarkably well, especially when I pair it with the S&T Banana blade. So far, I cant think of any weaknesses in this rubber.

Definitely the worst rubber to play against. Its disruptive game is so annoying, it makes you wanna break your racket and kill yourself. The ball is god knows where - very hard to smash it: one moment it is coming at you, the next it bounces away or drop flat. I am definitely buying it for a try.

It is a nightmare to play against somebody with Monkey OX. Pips are doing their job too well. The ball flies with crazy trajectories and bounces. I hate it. But that's exactly the point isn't it? ;)
