I am using the Charged on my forehand (BH: JOOLA Tronix ACC) on the new Hugo Calderano Inner KL-C, yes I am a Hugo Fanboy. Having played the Zyre 03 prior to the Charged, I have to admit that it is a solid upgrade in terms of how well I am able to utilize the power and spin compared to the Zyre 03. I think it has to do with the fact that it has slightly less of its own dynamic and requires a full swing, with decent technique, to activate the sponge. Due to its nice arc, I get the impression that the ball usually hits the second half of the table, especially from a few metres off the table, whereas the Zyre 03 is more direct towards the very end of the table. However, this rubber is not easy to play/handle. It took me around 6 weeks to get used to the Zyre, having played the Jekyll and Hyde C55 before, which was really difficult due to the low arc and speed of the Zyre. This also shows that the Charged is definitely not a JOOLA version of the J&H, but plays much more dynamic IMO. Now, the transition to the Charged is surprisingly simple and almost feels natural.
Overall very very nice and unique rubber with high speed and spin potential, blocks are decent when played actively, countertopspins are topnotch (even better than Zyre due to slightly sticky rubber), serve is great, short game is fine, but takes time to adjust to the high speed. 10/10 can be recommended for players with clean, strong strokes on the forehand.
