Built around Hugo Calderano's demanding offensive game, the JOOLA Hugo Calderano Series combines the KL-c Inner and AW-7 blades with Trinity Dynamic and Trinity Charged rubbers to deliver the dynamic speed, explosive spin, and refined touch required at the highest levels of competition.
Blades: KL-c Inner vs. AW-7
The KL-c Inner is a composite offensive blade, while the AW-7 is a pure all-wood blade. The KL-c Inner uses a 7-ply construction (Limba–Ayous–KL-c–Ayous–KL-c–Ayous–Limba) with two inner layers of KL-c, JOOLA's proprietary Aramid-Carbon hybrid weave. Placing the stiff carbon fibers in the inner position gives it OFF-level speed, an enlarged sweet spot, and explosive rebound on bigger swings, while the Aramid dampens vibration and the outer wood plies preserve a "woody" feel and longer dwell time. The AW-7, by contrast, is a 7-ply all-wood blade using multiple Limba layers with Ayous and Blue Ayous core layers. Without any carbon or Aramid, it's slower and softer, with even more dwell time and a more flexible, touch-oriented feel: ideal for technical topspin play, precise placement, and close-to-mid-table control.
Pick the KL-c Inner for higher-end speed, stability, and an attacking topspin game with composite punch; pick the AW-7 for a lighter, softer, pure-wood platform that rewards touch, spin, and finesse over raw power.
Rubber Sheets: Trinity Dynamic vs. Trinity Charged
Both sheets share JOOLA's Trinity X-Technologies platform, Energy X Sponge, Fusion X topsheet, and China Intense Dynamic Geometry, but they're tuned for different levels of aggression.
The Trinity Dynamic uses a 52.5° sponge, giving it a slightly softer, more forgiving feel with a balanced mix of spin, speed, and control. It's the more versatile of the two, allowing smoother transitions between passive blocks, active topspin, and finishing shots, making it friendlier in variable match situations.
The Trinity Charged is JOOLA's flagship premium Trinity sheet, built around a much harder 57° sponge. It's purpose-built for Calderano's own style: aggressive, close-to-table offense with maximum acceleration, direct feedback, and elite-level precision at high speeds. It's less forgiving but rewards clean, committed strokes with more power and sharper control.
In short: go with the Trinity Dynamic if you want a premium offensive rubber that's still workable across different situations; go with the Trinity Charged if you're an advanced player who wants maximum hardness and the same setup Calderano plays himself.
