If you've watched competitive table tennis at the highest levels, then you've surely seen DHS products in action. Perhaps the most notable athlete using DHS equipment is Ma Long. A legend of the sport, Ma Long uses a Hurricane 3 rubber on his forehand. Hurricane 3 rubbers are undoubtedly the most popular rubber series from DHS and are a prime example of hard and tacky Chinese rubbers. Many players try out the Hurricane 3 and H3 Neo rubbers on their forehand as an introduction to this style of rubber. These rubbers require considerable power to fully unleash their potential, as well as proper brushing technique. You can find the H3 rubbers in Commercial (NEO), Provincial (H3, NEO) and National (H3, NEO) versions.

DHS offers rubbers with different characteristics well-suited to other uses as well. The Gold Arc 8 series is a high-powered rubber that performs more closely to other brand's flagship offerings, with a grippy surface and fast sponge.

Reviews of DHS Hurricane 3 Neo (237)

Good looping rubber. Excellent pricing.

I am using this this rubber on a wooden blade, without boosting. So, My experience wasn't very different as compared to the expectation. Hard, not very fast, spinny, and super controllable(linear). People who have started taking the game seriously and wish to improve the looping and consistency, this rubber will be super helpful. Plus the pricing is just optimal. However professionals prefer the blue sponge non commercial version, with boosting. Will try H3 on my other blade (viscaria) in future.

Good chineese rubber. Good for players who like more spin than raw speed. Good to combine with looping blades like DHS PG7.

This review is for the new formula Hurricane. I use Timo boll ALC with 39 unboosted and boosted. And 40 degree boosted. I'd say the harder you go with hurricane, the better you need with footwork. It has a lick more spin than D09c, and more control. The throw angle is medium and feels very natural. I never had to focus on the arc. Speed is enough for blocks and passive play, but it doesn't shine in that aspect. This rubber is so popular that you just need to spend 20 on a sheet to try out. I think playing unboosted is fine, but a softer sponge is recommended; the hardness of 39 or 38 is better than 40. When boosted commercial hurricane.

The difference between 39 and 40 degree boosted is huge. 39 has more speed on slower spin shots. 40 degree has more spin and power on harder impact balls and counters. The second bounce of these rubbers is extreme, When compared to something like Tenergy 05 you create a faster, lower and spinnier shot. For active play DHS hurricane is almost unbeatable. So much control and spin is hard to pass up. Never had national version to compare, i compare to D09c, T05, Hurricane 2 neo. Hurricane 3 lasts insanely long. Never had problems with new badges or durability.

This rubber was the component to my first customized racket. I had DHS PG7 blade with this black rubber on forehand and red Yinhe Moon on backhand.( Similar to a chinese setup). It is SPEEDY at first but after a while (1-2 months) the speed drops but gets more control and the spin is almost the same ( Clean it after each session). I played with it before polyball era. It had Ultra Spin then.
