Sanwei V5 Pro

Select handle type:

4.8/5

Our notes:
• One of the most promising blades in the market at a very low cost.
• Feels like a cross between a Clipper wood and a Nittaku Violin. It is faster than both blades mentioned, but has less vibration and a better feel on ball impacts.
• One of the most ergonomic handles on the market.

This blade is factory-sealed so blade sealing is not required.

Maintaining the outstanding performance of the original V5, the new V5 surface is made of a hard Ash wood (like Nittaku Violin), which helps increase attacking speed. The original 3.3mm core is now 3.5mm, increasing power and elasticity. The preferred choice for quick attack and looping players. The special design of the handle is made using a brand new shaping production technique.

Reviews of Sanwei V5 Pro (36)

It's definitely not OFF+ as it's advertised, OFF at most, since you can clearly feel the vibration and flex. Compared with limba top ply, this ash wood surface feels weird. The big core design makes it more flexible, but the hard top ply makes the ball bounce faster. I simply don't like the feedback. However the handle is a big plus, really makes the gripping fantastic. After two sessions, I do have progress in backhand. Except that, it's really not my type. I do prefer limba surface blades.

This blade is hands down the best and highest quality all wood 7 ply blade you can buy for the price. It's an absolute steal, compared to almost all other wood blades. I have owned the Acoustic, Clipper, Power Sensus, Ma Lin Xtra offensive, fugio, TP Ligna All-wood, the Wanakirimi REN and several other more expensive allwood blades. The V5 is actually better than all of them IMHO.

Fast blade with insane control. If you can move well and have decent power behind your strokes, do yourself a favor and buy this blade, put H3 Neo on the FH and a medium soft rubber on the backhand and have fun.

Translated from Vietnamese.

I hit with Sanwei pro v5 rubber, feel the ball is dry, the feeling is not soft and new, don't know if it's due to the rubber or the coating. I'm currently using Yasaka7 for FH and Tibar MK for BH.
