Blade is very fast, but not without a decent measure of control. Can’t imagine why it is rated “Allround” or “Offensive -“. Paired with the right rubber for you, the blade is sheer joy to wield at mid- to long-distance from the table. For me, boosted B’fly Rozena adds huge spin to the blade’s speed on forehands, and soft Donic S-3 controls (and varies) the pace from the backhand side. While the feeling does provide less feedback than, for example, a B’fly Innerforce blade, it is a different kind of “touch”. Happily, player adjustment is rapid, especially if you remember to let the setup help do the work, not just your speed of stroke. The V5 rewards proper stroke technique as well as any I’ve used (and there have been many). Forget to use reasonable technique, and you won’t be happy. Employ solid technique, and your opponent will be very unhappy! In a way, that suggests blade should be put in the hands of newbies who have mastered stroke basics and are ready to advance; since employment of proper technique is rewarded so greatly, it is strongly reenforced. Oh yeah, the cost… As a long-time equipment junkie, I judge the V5 to be a superb best-bang-for-the-buck blade for players ready to step up their attacking game. Just an all-wood blade, you say? I don’t care; THIS all-wood blade just works!

This blade is amazing. It is a great blade for beginner/intermediate players. That outer ply gives it that gear up in speed when you need it. You can hear it when it kicks in. The handle is very comfortable. Not sure what wood it is, but it feels very soft to the touch but hard and firm when you are playing. Vibrations feed very good. I liked it so much I bought another one just a little bit ago.
I buyed this blade with 41. Mine was 87g, 6mm. VERY comfortable handle. Nice finishes for the price. I have been using Yasaka Valmo *max* on FH and Tibhar Quantum S *max* on BH for 2 months. I would say that it has a great consistency and a good control; the speed is nice for an OFF blade and its very nice playing with it. Nothing is a downside on this blade.
I was waiting for the delivery of the V5 PRO, so I borrowed the CR so that I could compare the features of both. I was less worried about how I would handle CR. That wasn't a big problem. I had to get used to it. Well, when the V5 PRO arrived, I immediately went to train. And I was very surprised. I've always considered myself more of a player who needs an off- or off blade. I was worried that it would be fast. I tried carbon blade, but I prefer allwood. I have Nittaku Fastarc G-1 2.0 glued on both sides. Blocking and playing above the table was a big surprise. I used Fextra 7 and Vodak Taranis during the season and I had very good results. But this wood is a completely different level. Blade has a harder feel, a bit sharper, a lower arc. Another surprise is the rotation. From the harder outer veneer, I expected the dwell time to be short and so the rotations would not be sufficient. Well, the number of successful services, highly rotated loops convinced me that it won't be bad with rotations. The ash veneer is thin and during power shots it bends into the next layer, so the shota are more controlled and the balls do not fly behind the table but with a low arc onto the table. I have so far avoided blades with a hard outer veneer. I was worried that I would overturn the table. Well, that's not the case. Now, after the season is over, it's time to try. I want to meet up with my defenseman friend and his brother and try the V5 PRO a bit more thoroughly. I will complete the review later.

I tried this blade with a 729 Battle Max Pro 41deg (fh) and Yinhe Big Dipper 38deg (bh), both boosted with two layers of Seamoon. As I'm coming from using Yinhe V14 Pro ALC blade, I'm comparing to this. The V5 is a bit more light weight about 83g. The main thing here I feel is that I've always had problems smashing and flat strokes. With this blade I suddenly had a softer feeling, probably because of the all-wood structure and had a much better flat-hitting evening at the club. When brushing the ball from three-four meters behind the table i feel that the speed is at least the same as with the V14 Pro, mostly it feels faster but not as hard and stiff as V14. The short game is also very good and it's easy to keep the ball short, and place longer pushes where you want them. The blade finish is really good. Soft and smooth and really nice price/quality ratio.
Recently got back into table tennis and ordered this blade after ordering a Stiga Allround Classic a few weeks ago. The Stiga came in at 79 grams which felt really light to me, so when I ordered this one I requested one in the high 80s-90 grams as I didn't want to get one that was too heavy. Unfortunately, the one I received was 97 grams in the plastic and 94 grams without. Nevertheless, the Pro V5 plays great. More noticeable power than the Allround Classic with seemingly the same amount of control. It feels like it's right in the middle of the Allround Classic and the Butterfly Mazunov that I also own.
It's really a great blade. Though I've never played with a Clipper or Violin, I imagine they're great if they're near as fast and sensitive as this one. I can feel the ball almost as good as a three ply balsa I made, and my FH is almost as fast despite using a tackier, slower TG3 Neo. My homemade bat has an R47 for comparison.
My bat is still noticeably faster and better for mid-range and open, long rally, but the V5 is great for over table to mid with its TG3 Neo and Target 90. If I transfer my R47 and Nexus XT 50 Hard to this blade, it might be a beast mid to long range, but I think it would take some practice to get a feel for over the table.

7 ply clipper/violin hybrid. The handle of this blade is THICK, 25 mm by 30 mm for my ST version. It has a medium-low throw angle and is OFF- in speed. Very versatile and decent quality, however I would seal the blade and maybe even the handle as the finish is not the best (as is with most Sanwei blades).
I am just getting back into table tennis. I have a variety of blades. I find this blade excellent on both forehand and backhand with Gambler Nine Ultra Tack. It is absolutely awesome at blocking close to the table. I am still getting use to the forehand.
Purchased this blade after much deliberation with myself. Couldn’t resist my EJ quality and got it when megaspin had it on sale. Very nice customer service. Very fast blade. The blade due to its composition( I assume) makes a sound on ball impact. Took me a little time to get used to it. Had some hard fast rubbers and the ball was bouncing off, had difficult time controlling it. Then switched to MarkV and Gambler nine ultra tack. Then things changed. The spin and curve on loops and top spins were fantastic. It played well from close, mid and away. I was so impressed, got a couple extra blades while they were on sale. It takes some practice to get used to the blade but after that, it’s lovely.
I'll compare with clipper cr which i've been playing for 2yrs. Mine was 87g, 6.0mm, off-/off, faster & lighter than ccr. The outer ply made from light cream color ashwood, famously known used in fender guitar body for much warmer tone.
The head cutting size similar to yasaka-stiga (150*157). Large sweet spot, med-hard, slight flex, less dwell than ccr. Not so springy with touch play but nice feeling with medium tensor/spring sponge. Mine was 160g (tenergy80/V15xtra), feels so balanced, easy to play active block close to table. Looping from mid distance gives nice arc ball near to base line.
The handle similar to stiga legend, has less vibration. Though it's hollow, the weight was distributed across the entire blade, makes it very easy to control. No rough edges, so comfort on my palm. So was when wet, no need to wipe off. Feel natural with grip within thumb & middle finger, easy forehand to backhand switchover.
It's excel close to table. Play passive block and flat drive is where V5P specializes. The harder you hit the more speed & control you get. With the right techniques i was be able to do all shots with safe & less error. It has a medium throw, easy placement at any areas. Power and counter looping at mid distance is more fun than ccr- sharp & spinny ball without using my utmost energy. Control is great too in this area.

Why waste money if we can get the cheap ones with the same character? IMO don't give bad impression with the cheap blade, let's update our skills. The VP5 performance is more than acceptable.

First of all, I'm not a pro. This blade is really good for intermediate player, very comfortable handle, nice feel.
Faster and stiffer than DHS PG 7. Good upgrade. Slightly flex but no uncomfortable vibrations. Works good with medium hard rubbers or short pips Very mistake forgiving. Straight handle is for bigger hands which I have. Sealed by factory.
Cheap with good finish. Definitely worth a try.

Looping machine, can be hard to drive with non-boosted rubbers. DHS TG2 non boosted dropped into the net when driving on 90' racket facing. Very flexy when needed and stiff when smacking/hitting and gripping hard. Fast-Arc G1 on BH is great and may even be better on FH as I tried it a few times. Seems to need tensor or boosted rubbers to reduce expending three days of calories in three sets. Great looping but cannot drive loop very well. Dwelly, but fast and can spin like a beast, this gives up the option to smash or drive the ball faster unless you brush.
I was quite pleasantly surprised with this purchase. This is probably overall the best blade you can get from this company. The vibration feedback is amazing and the speed and flex is also terrific. It kind of reminds me of how the Nittaku Flyatt Carbon plays. Both are great choices for spin oriented players.
Very solid Off- blade with a medium touch and a medium high throw angle. The V5Pro got 5 ayous inner plys and ash as outer plys. That's why the gameplay is similar to clipper or pg7. Because of the outer ash plys there are no distracting vibrations. In short to short it plays soft but when it comes to looping or smashing you feel the hardness the speed comes from. Blocking is easy .This blade is for variable loopers from over the table to mid distance. I play it with target provincial and national wich works amazing.

Great Blade. Not in the heavy side. Not too soft, not too hard. Mixed with Andro Rasant 2.1 FH Red, Bluefire M2 2.0 Black. Great combination. Very controllable and fast at the same time. With this rubber combination is easy to dominate and adapt. Pushes and chops are amazing. Recommended Blade. Do not hesitate. Price super Great for the Quality.
Wow what a great blade for the money. Used Sanwei Target National on forehand Sanwei A+ Unsticky on backhand. This combo produced a nice balanced paddle with a good bit of control.
This blade is simply amazing. I have used this with Donic Acuda S1 Turbo and Donic bluefire M1. Played both close to table, tried blocking, away from rhe table, used strong and heavy loops. I found it just awesome. Gives terrific speed as well great spin with still very good control. Found bluefire side better than Acuda side due better feel and response. Control also was better on that side. Probably I need to practice more on Acuda side which I started doing now. played for more than 4 months now. Strongly recommend this blade.
To give a little context, I'm a USATT 2000+ rated 2 wing controlled looping oriented player. I play using Chinese rubber on forehand and Tibhar MX-P on backhand.
The blade finish is superb; minimal sanding was necessary on the wings. The flared handle is a little small for me, but I have big hands. This blade is fast for a wood blade; 7 plies ensure enough power from close to the table to mid distance. With tensor rubbers it could be good from far away. I was amazed at the amount of control this blade offers, not just juxtaposed to its power but in general. In a pinch, out of position recoveries, or with reflexive blocks the Pro V5 unexpectedly got the ball back on the table most of the time.
The blade has some flex so looping is good but it excels at loop drives as the blade's stiffness decreases dwell time. This also makes the Pro V5 excel in passive and active blocking, though active is much better. Giving a little bit of a forward motion during blocking was incredibly consistent, regardless of the amount of incoming topspin. This was a great benefit. Short game was very controllable and the medium throw made pushing and flicks fairly easy.
The Pro V5 has a high pitched, almost carbon ping on impact and feels a little (noticeable but not bad) hollow feeling. Despite this, it still feels fairly solid and you get good feedback with every hit. Lastly, the Pro V5 demands good technique to be most effective and it is marginally-at-best forgiving of imprecise strokes. It's definitely not a blade for beginners. Given that, the Pro V5 is one of the best wood blades I've ever played with (I'm an EJ with 13 year's experience). Bottom line: it's got 5 ply control with almost composite power. The Sanwei Pro V5 is a quality blade that plays like more expensive counterparts from Europe or Japan. Especially at less than $50, it's definitely worth a go.

I really enjoyed my experienced with Sanwei product. Though they are inexpensive, all their blades and rubbers are quality products and well-made.
This blade has nice build quality. Flared handle is very comfortable with smooth finish. Great control and good speed for all-wood blade. Goes well with Chinese rubbers.
Though it was made by Sanwei, in my opinion, i think this is a well produced, low-budget blade that's very good for intro level players. If you want to compare, you can think this is very similar to Violin.
I paired with Sanwei Target(not national), and 729fx friendship. They work well, but a bit lack of attack power when comes to loop attack. If megaspin can give me a discount on butterfly, i would like to try it with tenergy 05 and 64.

this blade is lightning fast! It's the fastest I've used, faster than the Butterfly Primorac Carbon Off + ....... way faster than my other carbon blades...... I don't feel likes it helps to have a blade this fast, but it doesn't hurt either! I'm sure that will depend on your game however, so if you have that kind of need for speed, this will definitely give you the right answer, for sure, and the price is a just a game ender (butterfly primorac is > $100), I have it paired with the softer Mark V called GPS right now but I think I can do a lot more with it...... definitely will be fun to see how different combinations work
