Reviews of Butterfly Rozena (86)

Firstly and perhaps most importantly this rubber is definitely not for beginners , Id say its more for someone pushing into the intermediate category

2nd I dont believe this rubber feels as soft as the manufacturer stats that it is . On the ESN scale its around 45 degrees but it feels more like 50 to me. The top sheet , that is to say the rubber competent part of the this product is quite grippy but not tacky and very durable , especially considering this rubber only costs around 35-40 pounds .

4thly many have compared this rubber to a tamer Tenergy 05 and I would personally agree with this is assessment ,the main differences for me between the two are rozena has a lower throw angle , less ability to create topspin on loops and lastly and most importantly definitely a more dampened effect to incoming spin. In fact This is where the rubber probably shines the most its quite spin insensitive and blocks and active blocks/flatter hitting is where this rubber shines the most. This rubber isnt the most spiniest however, but if the right technique is applied and depending on the blade, you can definitely Created enough spin to trouble opponents.

Lastly, this rubber was strange to me
and heres why , the throw angle of this rubber seems extremely inconsistent. I often struggled to find the correct angle especially when playing more aggressive strokes this is something I always seem to struggle with more when using butterfly product especially the dignics 05 which I found also pretty inconsistent too in This department.

In conclusion Id say this rubber is a very solid option for its price especially if you can find the range with the throw angle. Id recommend using it more on the backhand than the forehand but I do believe it could be used on either wing . For price its definitely worth a go if you want a more modern day rubber that can counter with ease and can also play flicks fairly well too , another reason Id recommend it on the backhand side .

Rozena rubber is like a baby Tenergy. It uses the spring sponge. Its not too heavy. It grips the ball very well, has good power and spin. It's a do everything rubber and quite good. Intermediate and advanced players will like this rubber. The price is half that if Tenergy and arguably you get almost the same performance.

I recently started playing with Rozena rubbers. When I was younger, my number one rubber was the Tenergy 05, but now that I'm 50+, the Tenergy 05 is too fast for me. I've been experimenting a lot over the last 3-4 years and finally found my sweet spot: a DHS Hurricane 301 blade and a Rozena 2.1mm on both the forward and reverse sides. For me, it's the perfect combination. I'm very impressed with how I play now. The topspin on both the forward and reverse sides is perfect, and blocking is effortless. They may not be the fastest rubbers for a powerful attack, but the topspin is excellent. I think that once I get used to these rubbers, I'll try them on a faster blade. I highly recommend Rozena.

It's fine. Very fast and not very spinny. Doesn't let you feel the grip like Tenergy does. Works for punching on backhand. There are better options for the price, like Fastarc and Rasanter.

Weighs around 45gm when cut to standard off blade. Probably suited for stiff blades. Spin is less so pushes lack control. Flat hits are nice. Topspin is ok. I would recommend glayzer over this.
