I got a table recently, and we have had the rule that for your first five serves you have to hit the ball from the right side to the right side of the reciever, like in doubles, then the next time you get to serve you switch, (ex. your left to the recievers left)

Come to find out, there is no such rule, but I heard of others doing this.

Question: Do I take that rule out of home play, or do I just continue the way I have? Is it wrong to have that as a house rule? Anybody else do this?
