If I play pickup games at the Rec center, I sometimes hear that rule. I'll go along with 21 point games, giving the losing player the serve at 20 and "can't lose on a serve;" heck, I'll even put up with guys who spin their serves with their fingers, but I can't live with doubles serving rules. The serve down the line is too much a part of my game.
