Yeah, Gene, I'm with you on that. I can't live with doubles serving rules either. I usually let guys serve illegally until they start beating me with their serve; then I complain. If they won't change, then I just convince myself that playing against an illegal serve is good training for playing against players who are much better than I am. The "can't lose on serve rule" can get especially irritating when a guy hits 8 serves in a row that are in the net or off the table and then gets the 9th one past you. Damned distracting, but I try to stay calm.
