That sounds like a decent plan. Our club has now split the tables between two locations and meets 4 nights a week. I am trying to generate interest in having at least one night devoted to a round robin with at least two classes.

In our club, it seems we have a bunch of players around 2000, a bunch below 1400 and just a handful in between. Of course you don't know which 20 players from the membership will show on a given night. By dividing into two groups at 1500 we could have a pretty meaningful league.
