The way we have it at our club, is if you have 4 or 5 tables, what you can do is assign the top players to table 1, and then next level group of players to table 2 and so forth. Then you play a round robin within your group. Every time you meet, record all of the matches and whoever has the worst record on table 1 moves down a table the next time you play. And the winner of table 2 moves up to table 1 and so forth. It gives beginners something to look forward to - to play on table 1.
