I am not suggesting that people shouldn't buy Chinese rubber at all. I am suggesting that people should consider where they buy them from. If you buy from a reputable supplier I think that the quality is better because the supplier can also check the rubbers as many Chinese rubbers can be opened and re-sealed. But this costs more. If you buy direct from China it is much cheaper but you run the risk that an occasional rubber will be of poor quality. As I said, I have bought hundreds of rubbers and only a few have had problems:- Palio cj8000-dull topsheet Palio ck531a-very brittle and many pimples fell off after a short practice. 729 Faster(old transcend)-hard area in the sponge. 729 Faster(old transcend)-surface dull on opening. Sprungfeder G3-Damage to rubber surface. Inspirit-Dark patches in the red rubber. I personally always use Chinese rubbers and each of the above problems only represents a single rubber not all rubbers of that type. |
