Euro/Jap rubbers tend to have better qulity control so you may get a bad chinese rubber every so often. I order quite a few and maybe 1 out of 20 has a dull surface or dark patches in the red rubber or small indentations in the surface or hard areas in the sponge. If you get a bad rubber, just take it/send it back to where it came from if you buy from a reputable supplier.
If you buy direct from China it is not really worth sending back as the rubbers are so cheap anyway and I write the costs off against the savings made on all the good ones.
As long as your rubber works well for you don't worry too much. The spinmax works well with Chinese rubbers too.
