I have tried various fast blades and have found them all very good.
1. Persson Carbon
This is the fastest carbon blade I have tried. Unlike purely wooden blades the bounce off the blade has a lower trajectors. Therefore when pushing and chopping you have to give it a bit more air.
I have used Mark V,Bryce,Mendo MP (glued)all on the forehand side. Because of the lower bounce trajectory you can really go for your shots(loops) and they don't seem to fly off the end as much as with a wooden fast blade.
When blocking against fast spin the return is fast and you don't have to put any effort into it, the speed of the blade does everything for you.
2.TSP 8.5 Balsa
This definately the fastest wooden blade i have used.
Brilliant for blocking fast and smashing hard but lacks control. Although I loved playing with this blade it was hard to find the right rubbers to use.
3. TSP 6.5 Balsa
This is the blade I'm currently using. Like the 8.5 its lovely to use. Very light, good for blocking, not quite as dynamic for looping but has control. I'm using Mark V 30º(f)Tango Extreme(b)(glued)
Although I loved using the persson for 3 years I think the balsa's are better. If you can handle the speed go for the 8.5 its def dynamic and will give all your attacking shots extra zip. If not the 6.5 is a safer bet.
