External Review for Butterfly TB5 Alpha on October 21, 2026

This blade is excellent for the learning stage, refining stroke technique, and developing more effective shots. I highly recommend it to beginner and intermediate players.

It offers excellent and predictable control, with clear feedback from its vibrations that provides great sensitivity upon ball contact.

On the forehand side, I use the Butterfly Sriver-EL. It feels somewhat underpowered due to the rubber's classic design and the blade's all-wood construction, but the spin it generates is still very impressive.

For the backhand, I use the Xiom Vega Pro tensor rubber. It delivers explosive power with a crisp, satisfying sound when executing backhand smashes, producing shots with impressive speed.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this blade and intend to keep using it even as my playing level improves and I face increasingly faster opponents equipped with newer blade technologies. I will continue to challenge them with the blade I already have and make the most of its strengths.
