The XIOM Vega Tour is a five ply, 2 composite carbon able tennis blade. The racquet has two outer Japanese Hinoki wood veneers that are designed for both speed and good feel. A new era racquet, the Vega Tour - is sensitive to the plastic ball and is ready to enhance your game and perform for you. The carbon mesh layers are Zephylium, a liquid crystal mesh that is mixed with XCarbon, a super light weight strong fiber to produce a new modern age carbon ply highly suited for table tennis.

The Vega Tour is made with jointless wood veneers, a first for the table tennis industry. The jointless plies add further stability and consistency to the racquet.

Zephylium and XCarbon veneer. Allowing for a thinner carbon layer, which reduces blade weight without reducing power or touch.

The Vega Tour is a new era racquet made in Korea, with strict product control, which ensures product consistency and performance. Each racquet comes with a removable T-Foil plastic layer to protect the top layer from scratching during packaging or transit. The removable T-Foil layer can then be used to protect the rubber sheet after it has been assembled.

Reviews of XIOM Vega Tour - Chinese Penhold (10)

This blade is not so great like everybody think.
The hande has a lot of vibration and the balance of weight on this blade is not so good maybe because it has a large sweet spot 152 x 158 mm. The dwell time is not so great with this hard feeling(even with Hinoki surface) and the rotation is much better on Butterfly Blades. For example Xiom Vega Euro has no vibration and Vega Tour has a lot so it is strange for most expensive blade from Xiom. I sold my Vega Tour already.
For me best blades are Butterfly with medium feel and they have no vibration with composite

I have just purchased a Vega Tour, and although I have not yet played with it, I wanted to weigh in on what I feel are some quality issues. The Vega Tour is my fourth Xiom blade, and I have been extremely pleased with the first three, a V1 Quad, a Zetro Quad, and my favorite, a Hyabusa Zxi. All three of these blades are manufactured in China, and in my opinion, excelled in quality and workmanship. When I read the specs on the Vega Tour, and saw the playing specs were superior to my Zxi, I decided to get one. The Tour is made in Korea, Xiom's native country, so I expected enhanced quality. Boy, was I disappointed! The packaging was impressive, but in my opinion, Xiom miscued on a few things. The outer layers of this blade are Hinoki, and it is a delicate wood. Xiom packages the blade with protective foils on both sides of the blade with the idea that you could reuse them once rubber was applied. They use four adhesive dots on each foil to adhere them to the blade. When I removed a foil on one face, it took several splinters of wood with it, not a great way to start. After some rather delicate gluing, I cleaned up the issue satisfactorily, but not flawlessly. I examined both faces and found one more peeling sliver just sitting up slightly, and repaired it. I have never had any issues with the handles on my Chinese Xiom blades. On the Vega Tour, Xiom used some crappy sheet aluminum handle inserts that were not even flush with the handle surfaces, and I thought to myself that I had just spent close to $200 on a pro quality blade, and this kind of stuff shouldn't happen! By the way, I emailed my issues along with photos to Xiom in Korea, and a couple days passed with no response. I'll be happy to report about playing characteristics once I've used the Tour, but wanted to warn anyone that purchases one of things you might expect. By all means, SEAL THIS BLADE before gluing up any rubbers.

Solid off+ blade that have the ability to play like all+ blade. Xiom have made something really different and unique. Vega tour has high control, high dwell and high throw and explosive speed when you need it. Careful not to select too fast rubbers unless speed is your game. You must give this blade 4-6hrs to understand and get use to its character. Not recommended for beginner's at all. Compared to vega pro blade the v tour is faster with slightly harder feel .both blades have high flex when playing away from table. Speed is the only majour upgrade of v tour from vpro.

My first impression after 5 training sessions and a tournament (~9h playtime).
For three years i play with TB ALC, a really good blade.
I like to try new tt stuff, i have tested a lot of blades (JM ZLC, JM SZLC, ZJ ALC, SAMSONOV FORCE PRO, ADIDAS HYPERTOUCH, XIOM VEGA PRO, ADIDAS FIBERTEC POWER, TB ZLF and more), no blade is so convinced that i changed.
With the XIOM VEGA TOUR is it different, i have the feeling it is the perfect blade for me. Everthing is easy to play, short game, soft ts, hard ts, the precision is excellent, great for blocking. Very comfortable in short game but if you hit the ball hard or smash it is fast and brutal for the opponent. In short game it is controled like a ALL blade (control is really amazing for an fast off blade), but if you block hard or smash hard the tempo is OFF+ without great catapult effect. In every distance i can play aggrassive shots. i am happy to try this great blade from xiom. If you want speed and control more than TB ALC , try this blade. i play fh and bh xiom vega pro in max, for me a great combination. I have changed and am happy with it. have fun!
