This is a 7-ply blade with a 5+2 inner-carbon structure, featuring a Balsa core, Koto outer veneers, and a very thin layer of carbon. At just 75g, it is incredibly lightweight!
In terms of playing feel, it closely resembles an all-wood bladeproviding a very soft touch and transmitting clear feedback directly to your hand. However, thanks to the added carbon, it becomes much easier to block and play with and offers significantly better directional control and stability than traditional all-wood blades.
I paired it with the STIGA DNA Platinum XH rubber, and the combination is absolutely fantastic. When looping to generate spin, the blade offers great dwell time, and when smashing to finish the point, the ball flies off with a sharp, crisp speed. It completely lacks that stiff, harsh, or uncontrollable bounciness typically found in standard carbon blades.
In summary, you get the natural feel of an all-wood blade combined with the power and stability of a carbon blade. You can swing at full power without worrying about the ball flying out of bounds. Overall, it's an incredibly fun blade to play with!
