FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?

Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.

FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?

All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.

Reviews Summary

✨ AI-generated summary of customer reviews.

Pros

  • The blade offers excellent control, power, and speed, especially when paired with the right rubber. It provides a powerful topspin and a great loop with a low arc, which can make opponents lose confidence. It is also effective from any distance and emits a gratifying 'crack' when the ball is hit correctly.
  • The blade is versatile and can be used for a variety of play styles, except for defense. It is particularly effective for counter loops and mid-distance play. It also has a good weight and a large sweet spot, which can help increase speed and attack. It is also noted for its quality construction.
  • The blade has a unique characteristic of offering a stiff power from inside when hit harder. It produces a high spin on both slow and faster loops. It is also noted for its wood-like feel and control on slow strokes. The blade is well balanced with a proper amount of weight, making it suitable for the new plastic ball. It also has good control and a nice soft touch and feel.

Cons

  • Some users find the blade to be too expensive, questioning whether the difference in playing characteristics is worth the increase in price. The blade is also considered to be too fast for some users, making it not suitable for backhand-oriented players. It is also noted that the blade's forehand side is very hard, requiring a powerful stroke to master.

superb blade and very expensive so one of a kind

I built a paddle with the Apolonia ZLC and Dignics 05. It has helped me take my game to the next level (compared to a lighter, cheap, wood paddle) by increasing my speed and attack. After a week of adapting I went against a player I had never scored more than 2-3 points against and averaged 7 points per game, almost winning one of the nine games.

This blade seems to have a pretty good sweet spot, good weight, and lots of power. Combined with the dignics 05, I can be given backspin and rip it back just as quickly or hit topspin I could not before.

With lots of power, I also feel like this blade has some decent control and consistency- I am able to land shots very close to where I want them.

The quality looks to be top notch. Really glad I took the plunge and purchased this blade.

ts like innerforce layer zlc older brother. Blades playing alike, but apolonia has more speed, dwell, spin and also control. Using with dignics 09c on both sides. Serves is very dangerous loaded with spin, just move ur legs in proper position and loopkill for easy points. Definitely for attack oriented players. Quality of the blade and its feel is very very premium. This is my favorite weapon now and i giving 10 of 10.

For anyone who doubted the backhand of this blade, pair it with the right rubber!!! Its backhand side is rather soft unlike other blades with a stiff koto layer and carbon in the outlayer. You need Dignity 05 or other stiff rubbers to release its potential in the spin department and your backhand loop will be a breeze. The forehand side of this blade is very hard, so you need a powerful stroke to master this blade.
