The Andro Heister Legacy OFF is a well-balanced offensive blade (OFF) for modern topspin players who shape their game with spin, precision, and changes of pace. Inspired by Danny Heister’s playing philosophy, its classic 5-ply all-wood construction combines controllable speed with outstanding ball feedback.
The sensitive Limba outer veneer increases dwell time and supports spin-loaded openings. The Ayous medial plies provide the necessary attacking dynamics, while the Kiri core ensures balance and stability. The result is a perfectly controllable OFF blade with clear feedback and high control – ideal for variable topspins, secure blocks, and precise placement close to the table.

Reviews of Andro Heister Legacy OFF (1)
The ply set-up is nothing new in regard to the type of woods used and in what order. It is pretty basic. However, the center plywood is about 1mm thicker (not .1, but a full mm up in size). This allows for more aggressive play at a distance. This blade doesn't do as well closer to the table, but it can manage well enough. The feedback wasn't outstanding, but it was better than I expected it to be. I would highly recommend a forehand rubber with very good grip (especially a hybrid or Chinese rubber). Rubbers that prioritize power or speed wouldn't fair as well. Overall, this blade comes as a good surprise for the player who likes forcing the long game. It has excellent control from a distance, but the close game becomes a bit more difficult.
