The ply set-up is nothing new in regard to the type of woods used and in what order. It is pretty basic. However, the center plywood is about 1mm thicker (not .1, but a full mm up in size). This allows for more aggressive play at a distance. This blade doesn't do as well closer to the table, but it can manage well enough. The feedback wasn't outstanding, but it was better than I expected it to be. I would highly recommend a forehand rubber with very good grip (especially a hybrid or Chinese rubber). Rubbers that prioritize power or speed wouldn't fair as well. Overall, this blade comes as a good surprise for the player who likes forcing the long game. It has excellent control from a distance, but the close game becomes a bit more difficult.
