Rod, I can't play defense with 2.5 either. I had the illusion that I could for a while, but then I played people who were good and I realized there was no way I could chop their loops with that thickness.

I've had some success with 2.2 Cream MRS -- but once again only up to a certain level of competition. Chopping with 2.2 is much more effective as a rarely used surprise tactic in an otherwise offensive game.

I will disagree with the Norwegian about the durability of Chinese rubbers. Across the board I find them far more durable than their Euro-Jap counterparts. Even when the surface tackiness wears off, these rubbers still play just about as well as they did brand new!
